Does that mean she wants to patch things up with the Gutierrez family, especially with her friend Raymond who said she snubbed him? “Oh yes, I’m already waving the white flag as I really want peace. I wish maayos na sana ito.”
We talked to her Saturday afternoon and, the next day, at “Party Pilipinas”, her wish was granted when she and Raymond met at the corridor by chance and they buzzed each other. Raymond was later interviewed about it in “Showbiz Central” that gave him a special birthday tribute since he and twin brother Richard turned 27 on January 21. “I blame it on the cramped corridors of GMA,” he jokes. “Magkatabi kasi ang dressing rooms namin. But I’m glad it’s over kasi it’s really just tampuhan and I don’t want to make a big deal out of it kasi walang dahilan para kami mag-away on a personal level. Of course, I will always side with my mom, but I’m glad bati at nagbeso na kami.”
Raymond became teary eyed when film clips of his past movies as a child actor were shown along with interviews with parents Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama who have nothing but praises for him. “Three years old pa lang sila, child actors na,” says Annabelle. “It’s Raymond who’s more interested in acting at pag pagod na si Richard, Raymond doubles for him.”
“When they were 9, they went to the States to study,” says Eddie. “Si Raymond, mabait sa school. He does his homework. He’s very artistic, he knows how to draw.”
“Nauna bumalik si Richard dito para mag-artista,” says Annabelle. “Raymond came home when he was 22 and became a host. So five years na siyang host and he’s one of the best hosts in the country. He also writes columns for the Philippine Star and Preview Magazine.”
Friends of Raymond were also interviewed: Anne Curtis, Carla Humphries, Liz Uy, Georgina Wilson, Isabelle Daza, Maxene Magalona and Tim Yap. All of them attest to his being a very good and loyal friend, with Anne revealing he really wants to be a singer and a dancer. Earlier, Raymond did sing live at “Party Pilipinas” and Pia Guanio said he should do it every week.
