Lovi Poe won the Best Actress award at FAMAS

THE BIG WINNER at the FAMAS Awards held so late in the year last Monday night at GSIS Theatre in Pasay City is Director Joel Lamangan. Two films he directed and line produced by Dennis Evangelista won a total of 8 awards. “Dukot”, a film about political abductions and killings, won best picture, best director for Lamangan, best actor for Allen Dizon, best editing for Bebs Gohetia, best cinematography for Monino Duque, and best director for Egay Littaua. “Sagrada Familia”, a film about incest, won best actress for Lovi Poe (who offered it to her dad, Fernando Poe Jr., whose 6th death anniversary was commemorated on December 14), best supporting actor for Emilio Garcia and best supporting actress for Gloria Diaz.
