ER Ejercito wants his home province to be their region's tourist capital

AFTER BATANGAS GOV. Vilma Santos, it’s the turn of Laguna Gov. ER Ejercito to host a Christmas party for the press at Zirkoh attended by his wife Maita Sanchez (mayor of Pagsanjan) and four good looking kids: Eric (a graduating film major in St. Benilde), Jet (taking up communications also in St. Benilde), Jericho (taking up pre-law in La Salle) and Julia (grade 2 at Poveda). It’s his first term as governor after serving for nine years as Pagsanjan mayor and he’s determined to make Laguna the tourist capital of Calabarzon Region IV Area. “We have so much to offer like shooting the rapids in Pagsanjan Falls, the Enchanted Kingdom theme park, the legendary mountains of Makiling and Banahaw, centuries-old churches and ancestral homes, the hot baths of Los Banos, and many more”, he says.

His pet project is the cleaning and dredging of Laguna de Bay, the largest lake in Luzon, that is now dying due to various waste matters dump into it. We are one with the governor in his desire to revive this beautiful body of water, make it a tourist attraction and also a means of transportation through ferries that will travel from Manila going to its various towns.
