Rocco Nacino nearly went blind due to boxing accident

IN A BOXING scene in “Koreana”, Rocco Nacino was actually hit on his right eye by guest star Suzuki Sadatzugu while they’re fighting on the ring. “Kagagaling ko lang sa sore eyes kaya my eyes are weak at may naputol na ugat sa loob ng mata ko. It became so red dahil nagdugo and became swollen. Very cloudy ang paningin ko and I got scared baka mabulag ako. But the doctor gave me medicines at ngayon, okay-okay na at nakapag-taping na uli ako,” he says.

Does he take it against Suzuki? “No. Talagang ganyan, accidents happen. I’m sure hindi naman niya sinadya.”

In his role as Benjo, he’s determined to prove to Jenna (Kris Bernal) that he’s seriously in love with her, but he faces competition from the rich Joshua (Steven Silva), who owns the resto where Jenna works. He serenades her but she tells him she loves him only as a friend. Jenna loses her job at the resto due to the scheming Eula Valdes and Sab Magalona who connive to have her imprisoned due to false charges.  Some camps are saying that there is rivalry between Rocco and Steven because of Kris.
