John Lloyd Cruz says rumors about him and Shaina Magdayao breaking up are simply not true

JOHN LLOYD Cruz’ films with Sarah Geronimo and Bea Alonzo are big hits, so is his Imortal with Angel Locsin on primetime TV. It’s his first time to be paired with Toni Gonzaga in “My Amnesia Girl” so this will be a test case for him. If it’d be a hit, then it’ll prove that he’s really the top Kapamilya leading man now who can be paired with anyone and still enjoy public support. “I’m confident viewers will love it as they will laugh from start to end,” he says. “My role is also different from those I’ve done before. Ako mismo, natatawa when I saw myself sa dubbing. First time din ni Toni to agree to do a kissing scene and I’m honored akong nagbinyag sa kanya. It’s so nice to work with her kasi making people laugh comes naturally to her. Kalog talaga siya when we shot the movie, there’s never a dull moment on the set.”

What can he say about ex-GF Liz Uy’s being rumored to marry Noynoy next year? “We don’t have any communication anymore, so I’ll only believe it when I get an invitation.” But we don’t think he’d get invited, if ever. “Well, if it’s true sila na, I’m happy for them. Tinanong din ako ng ganyan when Ciara Sotto got married and I also said I’m happy for them, I wish them all the best.”

There are persistent rumors that John Lloyd is still in touch with Ruffa. There is also a nasty rumor between her and Shaina. How about the rumor that his romance with Shaina Magdayao is on the rocks? “Sorry to disappoint yung nagkakalat niyan but it’s not true. I wasn’t here when she celebrated her birthday last Nov. 6 as I was doing shows in Europe, but I called her up and greeted her. When I got hom, I gave her all the presents I shopped for her in Europe. We’ve never been happier kahit parehong loaded ang skeds namin. Whenever we’re together, we spend quality time so we’re really okay.”
