RUFFA GUTIERREZ TALLER THAN MALE STAR FACTOR CONTESTANTS

ONLY NINE HOPEFULS remain in TV5’s artista search, “Star Factor”, out of the original 12 hopefuls. Another one will be ousted this afternoon at 5:30. Last Sunday, Kevin Francisco was eliminated. The Sunday before, our bet Nikita McElroy, the dusky tall 16-year old from Davao with star potential, said goodbye. Juror Annabelle Rama gave her some money. She also did that to another ousted contestant, Gabo of Cebu.

“Tulong ko na lang kasi kawawa naman sila,” she says, showing she’s really a softie at heart.

During the deliberation last Sunday, we noticed she and other judges Joey Reyes, Audie Gemora, Raymund Isaac and Ryan Cayabyab quickly agreed with each other on who should be ousted. The hopefuls acted in test vignettes. Ritz Azul played a wild girl who Kevin reforms. John Uy is a boy who gets crippled saving Cristine Serrano from a car accident. Christian Samson is a poor boy in an hacienda who falls in love with the landlord’s daughter, Krissha Viaje. Eula Caballero played a jealous girl who causes the death of her BF, Miguel Estenzo. Morisette Amon is a singer who dumps Rico de la Paz to pursue her career. Morisette and Krissha were named best actresses.

We have a feeling the lone Star Factor winner will be a girl since the girls are really better looking and more talented than the boys, who look so small especially when they stand beside their towering host, Ruffa Gutierrez.
