FAITH CUNETA, who has won many awards as a songstress, has left Viva Records and is now with PolyEast of Ramon Chuaying. “They got me only three months ago,” she says. “Ang bilis, I recorded an album right away at heto, na-released na.” Titled “Twist of Faith”, her album of revivals has two first singles no less, Ogie Alcasid’s “Dito sa Puso Ko” and Jessa Zaragoza’s “Paano Kaya” which she reinterprets with a twist with her very flexible vocals. “The album is titled ‘Twist of Faith’ as I try to capture new listeners with new arrangement easy-listening type of lovesongs that will make them relax and feel comfortable.”

After Faith, PolyEast will next release Comedy King Dolphy’s very first album, “Handog ni Pidol, A Lifetime of Music and Laughter”. This has ten cuts recorded for one year. Dolphy has duets with ladylove Zsa Zsa Padilla (“You Make Me Feel So Young”), son Vandolph, and his daughter with Zsa Zsa, Zia, who turns out to have a voice better than both her mom and sister Karylle. Her bluesy rendition of “You’re Just In Love” will remind you of both Norah Jones and Aretha Franklin. PolyEast will also release the first solo album of Champ Lui Pio who’s leaving his band, Hale, and the new album of original songs of Kyla.
