Uge suggested to Mother Lily that Sweet be given his own launching flick. Mother’s daughter, Roselle Monteverde, says they’re thinking of remaking Roderick Paulate’s “Kumander Gringa” for him since Viva is remaking Roderick’s “Petrang Kabayo” for Vice Ganda. Who would Sweet want to be his leading man? “Prankahan na, ha. Gusto ko maka-kissing scene si Jake Cuenca o si Coco Martin.” Take note that all of Sweet’s shows are with GMA-7 but the actors he prefers are with ABS.

THERE’S NO confirmation yet from TV5 execs but we heard Willie Revillame will be have his own show with them as a blocktimer, tentatively titled “Willing-Willie Kami”. Willie himself will produce the show and solicit the advertisers to support it. For sure, ABS-CBN will file charges against him for violation of his contract with them, but Willie is not afraid and he’s willing to face them in court. He also wants to clarify that he’s not the reason why staffers of Pilipinas Win na Win, including TV exec Jay Montelibano, resigned from the show. He told a friend he never instigated the resignation of people from ABS and he’s not asking them to join him. Someone said they’re just demoralized because the show is titled Win na Win but it’s “lost na lost” in the ratings to “Eat Bulaga”. A lot of people say they don’t want to see Kris Aquino dominating the show, whose running time has already been shortened as it now starts at 1:30 PM, with “Showtime” pitted against the first half of “Eat Bulaga”. It’d be noted that the ratings of “Showtime” dropped because of the higher ratings of GMA-7’s “Kapuso Movie Festival” so ABS has now also scheduled Tagalog movies to directly compete with this.
Someone says that the poor ratings of Win na Win is a sure indication that the public has had enough of Kris’ shenanigans and no longer approves of her. About her husband James Yap, he faced the media with his lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan (also the lawyer of Hayden Kho) to say he filed a motion for visitation rights after learning Kris wants sole custody of Baby James. James wants to see his son at least twice a week and be allowed to sleep with him one night a week, like from Friday evening to the next day. He also wants to take the boy to his hometown in Escalante, Negros Occidental to spend time with his own folks. He added that he hasn’t seen his son since they returned from the States. He tried to call his yaya but the yaya’s phone is always off so he has lost contact with the boy. He added that he cannot allow Kris to change the surname of Baby James from Yap to Aquino. He revealed that they got married twice, both in July 2005: the first one officiated by a lady minister who now doesn’t want to be interviewed, and the next one was two weeks later because James’ parents were not able to sign the wedding certificate in the first ceremony. This proves that the wedding was done in really good faith of both parties involved.

ANOTHER YOUNG STARSTRUCK star is preggy after LJ Reyes. She’s Jana Roxas, number 3 to Jackie Rice and Iwa Moto in Starstruck. She admitted in “Showbiz Central” that she’s now two months preggy at 19. “Nagpa-vaccine ako for cervical cancer at pina-blood test muna ko,” she says. “Doon nalaman, pregnant na pala ko.”
She looks like she gained much weight since her Starstruck days. She was shown with her non-showbiz boyfriend who’s 6 years older. They’re actually supposed to be wed in December but with her condition now, she decided to postpone their altar date until after she has delivered their baby. “Ayoko namang pakasal na mataba ako,” she says.

WHEN KUH LEDESMA accepted her role as the haughty Mrs. Jackie Tantoco, mother of Dennis Trillo, in “Endless Love”, she didn’t know her character would be so mean. “I know contravida siya but I didn’t know ganun siya kataray,” she says. “Biniro ko nga si Direk Mac Alejandre, kundi babawasan ang kalupitan ng role ko, di na ko sisipot sa taping. I’m happy to be back to acting, pero ayoko kasi umabot sa point na kamuhian ako ng tao and when they see me in public, awayin ako sa pang-aapi ko kay Marian Rivera. Even my own daughter, Isabella, said, ma, don’t accept such roles again. Kilalang Christian pa naman daw ako, tapos ang tapang-tapang ko sa TV. Also, I’m doing a Gospel album, at kontrang-kontra sa songs doon ang ginagawa ko sa show.”
She’s been singing since 1979 when she did the hit song “Dito Ba”, the theme song in “Miss X”. She doesn’t seem to age. What’s her secret? “My relationship with the Lord. I just surrender everything to him so I don’t have to worry about anything.”
She wants to try producing an indie film about the experiences of women. “I have a story in my mind at gusto kong kunin doon sina Gina Alajar, Cherie Gil, Tessie Tomas, Nanette Inventor, and me, of course.”
