“I’m so thankful to GMA sa patuloy na tiwala at pagmamahal nila sa akin,” she says. “Ang dami ko ng blessings na natanggap sa career at sa buhay ko since I joined GMA kaya hinding-hindi ako aalis dito and I’ll always be loyal to them.”
She’s also happy that “Kara Mia” is yet to be shown but the feedback about the show is already overwhelming. “Sa social media, pinagpipistahan ito at kung anu-ano nang memes ang ginawa nila for ‘Kara Mia’. Ang dami-daming na-curious at pati sa videos, ginagaya kami. Tapos, yung full trailer namin, it really went viral sa dami ng hits. More than a million na! Ang dami ring nagme-message sa akin saying inaabangan nila talaga ang pag-ere ng ‘Kara Mia’ on Monday, February 18. Siempre, may bashers ding nakakain yata ng ampalaya at ni hindi pa man napapanood ang show, e bitter na agad. Ang request ko lang, panoorin muna nila before they judge and I assure them na sila man, mahu-hook din sa kakaibang takbo ng istorya nito.”
The story is about two girls, Barbie as Kara and Mika de la Cruz as Mia, who share one body. Barbie’s face is in front and Mika’s face is at the back. Their leading men are Jak Roberto and Paul Salas, with Carmina Villaroel and John Estrada as the parents of Kara Mia, Glydel Mercado as John’s other woman, Alicia Alonzo, Liezel Lopez, Gina Pareno and Mike Tan as Iswal, the engkanto who fell in love with Carmina and claims to be the real father of Kara and Mia. So how is it working with her real life BF Jak Roberto as her leading man? “Siempre, mas nakaka-inspire kasi lagi kaming nagkikita. Pero kapag nasa harap ako ng camera, ayoko siyang nakikita kasi parang nako-conscious ako.”What will they do this Valentine’s Day? “Ewan ko. Isu-surprise daw niya ako. But nasa Chika Minute ako ng ‘24 Oras’, so he’ll have to wait until matapos ko ang trabaho ko.”
