PANTAXA LAIYA talent search winner Angelica Hart is now given her solo movie, “Higop”, an erotic drama about wholesome girls in a milk tea store who are transformed into seductive good time girls at night, written by Cyril Ramos and directed by Topel Lee.
Angelica’s leading men are Josef Elizalde and Brazilian actor model Fabio Ide.
Supporting them are Lester Llansang, Van Allen Ong, Zsara Laxamana, Aila Cruz, Jonica Lazo, Princess Xian and Joanna David.
How does Angelica feel that she’s now launched in her solo movie and what’s her role in it?
“Siempre po, I’m thankful to Viva na pinagsolo na nila ako after doing two TV series, ‘Secret Campus’ and ‘High on Sex’,” she says.
“In ‘Higop’, I play Issa, galing ako sa probinsiya and I come to Manila to work so I can help my family.
"Napasok ako sa milk tea store ni Fabio Ide as Mond. But ang hindi ko alam, pimp pala siya at sa gabi, binubugaw niya kami ng mga babaeng kasama ko sa store.”
She finds true love in Josef Elizalde as Noah, but she has to hide her shady job from him. How is Josef in the love scenes she did with him?
“Okay si Josef,” she says. “Gentleman siya and very considerate.
"After our love scene, tinatanong pa niya ako kung okay lang daw ba ako. Baka raw may nagawa siyang hindi ko gusto.
‘Higop’ is actually more of a love store nung characters namin kasi Josef as Noah is willing to sacrifice para maialis lang niya ako sa clutches ni Fabio Ide who is our sadistic boss.”
She is now the second actress named Angelica at the Viva camp as it’s common knowledge that Vivamax is currently ruled by Angelica Khang who is doing one movie after another.
Does she intend to replace Angelica Khang as Vivamax queen?
“Wala naman po akong ganoong intention,” she says. “Malayo na ang narating niya at hindi naman po contest ito.
"Actually, before, ang pangarap ko talaga is malinya sa wholesome movies, but now na nandito na ako sa Vivamax, wala po akong balak makipag-compete kahit kanino.
"I just want to last long in the business at mas gumaling ang acting ko, so Viva will give more good and challenging assignments."
