YASSER MARTA wants to thank GMA management for giving him the chance to be the leading man of Claudine Barretto in her comeback series, “Lovers/Liars”, now showing on GMA Telebabad after “Love Before Sunrise”.
In the story, he plays a young architect who has an illicit affair with his boss, played by Claudine, but he also has another girlfriend, Shaira Diaz.
“I saw Ms. Claudine's movies then with my mom, like ‘Milan’, ‘Dubai’, and I never expected that one day, we’d be working together,” he says.
“Siempre, kabado ako when we first shot a scene together. I felt yung pressure as it felt surreal na kaeksena ko ang isa sa pinakamagaling na aktres sa ating bansa.
"Working with her, kinikilig ako at para akong nakukuryente. Napakagaling niyang aktres, lalo na in conveying different emotions, at kapag tumitig siya, madadala ka talaga sa eksena.”
He’s thankful as Claudine never made him feel that he’s just a newbie.
“Wala siyang ere. She talks to everyone on the set. Mabait siya and I really enjoyed working with her.
"Pati na rin with our director, Crisanto Aquino. I learned so much from both of them on how to interpret my role well.”
Does he have a love scene with Claudine?
“Meron sa script, pero hindi pa nakukunan. Pinag-uusapan pa kung paano ang gagawing atake.
"Siempre, kinakabahan ako but I told Direk Cris na okay lang sa’kin kahit anong ipagawa niya. No limitation for me.”
It seems Yasser is really proud of showing off his toned physique as he has posted many of his sexy pictures online. His admirers are so titillated by his hairy chest.
Has he received any indecent proposals because of this?
“Yes, I did. Maraming bastos sa mga nagcha-chat sa akin. Merong nagtatanong kung magkano raw ang presyo ko.
"Game raw ba ako sa P500,000? Pero dedma lang ako at hindi ko pinapansin.
"Baka kung P1 million pa. Or with house and lot! Hahahaha!”
About his lovelife, he says it’s zero at the moment as he has broken up with Kapuso actress Kate Valdez after a year of being together.
Before Kate, he also had a long time affair with another girl, but it ended when he learned she has a third party in their relationship.
So why did he and Kate break up?
“It’s a mutual decision kasi we both got so busy. I’m now with ‘Lovers/Liars’ and she’s in the cast of ‘Shining Inheritance’.
"Also, nagkasakit kasi ang mother ko. She had a stroke at ako nag-alaga at nagbabantay sa kanya.
"So sa ngayon, focus muna ako sa mom ko at sa work ko. Dun pa lang, ubos na ang oras ko.
"MWF, I tape for ‘Lovers/Liars’ and TThS naman, I do hosting sa ‘Eat Bulaga’. So wala na akong time sa lovelife.”
