MIGGS CUADERNO started as a child actor when he was only 5 years old.
A ward of the late Director Maryo de los Reyes, he appeared in various TV series like “Munting Heredera” and “Second Chances” and in movies like “Bamboo Flowers” and “Children’s Show”.
He is now a young man at 19 years old and plays grown up roles.
In his last film, “Deception”, he played Claudine Barretto’s long lost son. His last teleserye was “Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters” where he was the hard-headed son of Aiko Melendez.
Miggs has now signed up with Regal Entertainment under Roselle Monteverde and his first movie with them is the horror trilogy, “Shake Rattle and Roll Extreme”. What is his episode?
“I appear in the episode ‘Glitch’, by Director Richard Somes,” he says.
“I play the son of Ms. Iza Calzado, who is a single mom. I’m distant to her as she’s so busy in her job as a fashion designer.
"But when our family is harassed by an evil entity, we all become closer as a family and Ms. Iza, who has lost her faith in God, is drawn back to her relationship with Him. I’m paired here with Angel Guardian.”
How is it working with their director, Richard Somes?
“Cool lang siya kaya masaya ang set namin. Our episode is not just horror but also action, kasi maraming scenes ng habulan and we fight the monster na nakapasok sa bahay namin.”
Direk Richard Somes says he is lucky to have a good cast for “Glitch”.
“Magaling silang lahat. Si Miggs bagay sa role niyang anak ni Iza na medyo matigas ang ulo. And Iza is great as the mother who is willing to sacrifice her own life to save her two kids from the demonic presence na nakapasok sa bahay nila.
"This episode is really a tribute to all mothers who are ready to fight for their family.
"Magaling din dito si Donna Cariaga as the trusted maid of Iza who has a strong faith in God at nakatulong sa kanya to fight the evil entity terrorizing them.”
Somes directed one of the best episodes in the entire “Shake Rattle and Roll” series.
This is the “Lihim ng San Joaquin” episode in SRR2K5 with Mark Anthony Fernandez and Tanya Garcia as a young couple who moves to a town that they didn’t know is inhabited by aswangs.
“This is actually my third participation in ‘SRR’,” says Direk Richard.
“My first one is in the ‘Tamawo’ episode of SRR13 with Zanjoe Marudo. I’m glad Ms. Roselle Monteverde revived the franchise and she got me to do ‘Glitch’.
"Matagal na walang movies dahil sa pandemic. Ako, puro TV series ang ginawa ko. And I’m glad that itong ‘SRR Extreme’, ipalalabas sa sinehan.
"We hope moviegoers will come and watch us on the big screen and we promise to give them a good scare on November 29.”
