AFTER HIT SERIES 'APOY SA LANGIT' & 'ROYAL BLOOD', LIANNE VALENTIN NOW EXCITED TO DO A MOVIE, 'APO HAPON'

LIANNE VALENTIN is grateful that after being in two hit teleseryes, “Apoy sa Langit” and “Royal Blood”, she is now appearing in a major movie, “Apo Hapon”.

She is thankful that it will reunite her with Director Joel Lamangan and actor JC de Vera with whom she has both worked before in TV5’s teleserye, “Valiente”.

“That was 11 years ago when I was only 10 years old,” she says. “Ang tagal na.

"Child star pa lang ako doon at bida si JC. Now, mag-ex-boyfriend-girlfriend ang roles namin dito sa ‘Apo Hapon’.

"I’m looking forward to our shoot with Direk Joel as I learned so much from him then about professionalism in showbiz.

"I’m sure I’m going to learn more about acting now that he will direct me again, in a movie naman.”

The movie “Apo Hapon” will be shot on location in Bontoc, Benguet, as the story about a Japanese soldier who lives with the Igorot natives, is set there.

Then that means she will have to go up north to shoot her scenes. But she’s also busy taping for “Royal Blood”. So what will she do?

“I’m confident our team will be able to do the proper time management in my schedules para walang mabitin na shooting for ‘Apo Hapon’ and taping for ‘Royal Blood’,” she says.

“We took that naman in consideration before accepting this new project.”

Lianne is happy that her career really got a big boost after she played Zoren Legaspi’s mistress in “Apoy sa Langit” which was on Afternoon Prime. Now, “Royal Blood” is on GMA Prime time.

“Being part of ‘Royal Blood’ is such a blessing kasi puro magagaling ang mga kasama ko,” she says.

“I’m always on my toes to do my best, lalo na sa dramatic confrontation scenes.

"As Beatrice, I’m the rebellious daughter in our family at ang daming viewers ang galit sa akin. When they see me in public, they call me as Beatrice and they say, I hate you.”

She’s glad to be given the chance to work as Dingdong Dantes’ sister in “Royal Blood”.

“Someone told me na nagagalit na kay Beatrice pati misis niyang si Marian Rivera. Gusto raw akong sampalin sa pagiging maldita ko.

"Naku, dream ko rin talagang makatrabaho si Ate Marian at willing akong magpasampal sa kanya ng bonggang-bongga.

"Si Beatrice, kilala ring mahilig uminom. So it’s another challenge for me kasi in real life, hindi ako umiinom, except occasionally, pero sa show lagi akong may dalang wine anywhere I go.”

She was so nervous when she did her first scene with Tirso Cruz III who plays their dad, Gustavo Royales.

“Ang eksena, inaaway ko siya, tapos, I’ll get physical at dadambahin ko siya. Punong-puno ako ng kaba at anxiety kasi parang hindi ko magagawang dambahin si Tito Pip.

"But he assured me na okay lang sa kanya. Let me just do raw what I feel, basta sa ikagaganda ng eksena. Siya na raw ang bahalang sumalo sa akin.”

She was still so nervous when they’re doing the scene.

“But as we shot it, nagulat ako kasi I realized na when you’re really committed to your craft, the love and passion for it just goes out of you freely and you’d be surprised sa anong puede at kaya mong gawin with a co-actor like Tito Pip na committed din at very supportive sa kasama niya.

"Doing ‘Royal Blood’ is truly a great learning experience for me kasi I learn so much not only from Tito Pip but my other co-stars like Dingdong Dantes, Megan Young, Rhian Ramos, Mikael Daez and the rest of the cast.

"Lahat sila, may drive, may passion sa trabaho nila and it really excites me to work with them in all of our scenes together.”

And she’s elated that the show is not just the usual family drama.

“Yes, hindi lang siya heavy drama but it’s a murder-mystery. Noon ko pa sinasabi na sana, makagawa ako ng ganitong genre at heto nga, binigay na.

"Talagang tinututukan ng viewers ang bawat episode kasi ang daming twists and surprises after mapatay ang father naming si Tito Pip and everyone becomes a suspect.

"So huwag po kayong bibitiw kasi ‘Royal Blood’ gets to be more thrilling in the weeks to come as a whodunit.”
