ANGELICA HART and Aiko Garcia, the two winners in Viva’s “Pantaxa Laiya” reality series and search for the next break out star, now play their first starring roles in the second season of “High on Sex 2” that starts streaming on Vivamax on July 2, as directed by GB Sampedro.
Angelica is 19 years old. So how did she start in showbiz?
“I began with TV5 as a host then I was told to audition sa Viva at nasali nga ako sa ‘Pantaxa Laiya’,” she says.
“I am thankful that Viva gave me the chance to act in ‘High on Sex 2’ where I co-star with the other ‘Pantaxa Laiya’ girls.”
What is her role?
“I play Joanna, anak ako ng isang pastora, played by Lotlot Bustamante, who's very helpful to a newbie like me.
"I look like a conservative and demure-looking girl, pero nasa loob pala ang kulo and I have this desire to explore more about my sexuality.”
Did she have any reluctance doing the sexy scenes she did in the series?
“None. Before we started the shoot, Direk GB Sampedro met with all of us and made it clear what he expects from us.
"He told us if we’d feel uncomfortable sa requirements niya, sabihin na namin agad. So from the start, open ang communication niya sa amin.
"As for me, I think this is part of my job as an actress, pinasok ko ito, e. So okay lang.”
How about “Pantaxa” co-winner Aiko Garcia? How did she get into Viva?
“I’m 23 years old and was working in an office when I was invited to join a photo shoot,” she says.
“I’m from Sibugay Zamboanga and my family is still there. Tapos, dinala ako sa Viva and I played a small role in ‘Balik Taya’.
"Then they asked me to join ‘Pantaxa Laiya’ at yun na nga, dalawa kami ni Angelica Hart na tinanghal as winners.”
What is her role in “High on Sex 2”?
“I play Allaine, isang gender-fluid na babae. Meaning, puede siya to go to bed with both sexes. So halos lahat silang girls dito, naka-bed scene ko.
"Among the guys, ang naka-love scene ko is a newcomer din like me, si Armani Hector.”
Didn’t she have qualms bedding the other female members of the cast?
“No. Ang maganda kasi, naging very close na kaming lahat while we were doing ‘Pantaxa’ nang lock in taping sa Laiya in Batangas.
"Para na kaming magkakapatid doon sa we’re all comfortable with each other. Doing ‘High on Sex 2’ was fun kasi masaya kami lahat sa set.”
Like Angelica, she just learned to trust the judgment of Direk GB Sampedro.
“Mabait si Direk at lahat kami, we know hindi naman niya kami ipapahamak.
"Naughty fun lang naman ang pinapakita sa ‘High on Sex 2’, which is about the sexual awakening of high school students who are exploring and experimenting about love and passion.
"Abangan nyo when we start streaming on Vivamax on July 2.”
