TIFFANY GREY is a Vivamax nymphet who was just one of the girls introduced in the raunchy Vivamax six-part mini-series, “Lovely Ladies Dormitory”, where she played Alma, a strong independent woman.
She also did supporting roles in the movies “Putahe”, “The Influencer” and “My Father, Myself”, for which she got a best supporting actress nomination in the last December Metro-Manila Filmfest.
But now, Viva gives her a big break as she plays the lead role no less in Director Louie Ignacio’s new sex drama, “Paupahan”.
The screenplay is written by the prolific Quinn Carillo and is about a a simple girl who is deceived by a two-timing lover, played by Jiad Arroyo, who is also given his first starring role in this movie.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa Viva sa pagtitiwala nila sa akin in giving me this break in ‘Paupahan’,” she says at the movie’s zoom presscon.
“Kaya naman ginawa ko po ang lahat ng ipinagawa sa akin ni Direk Louie and I really did my best para hindi sila magsisi na binigyan nila ako ng launching film like this.”
In “Paupahan”, Tiffany plays the role of Annalyn, an innocent young woman who takes care of her grandmother, played by Odette Khan.
Since her grandmother is afflicted with dementia and is no longer capable of personally managing the apartments they rent out to various tenants, Annalyn then takes over in dealing with them.
One of their tenants is the hunky Nico (Jiad Arroyo), a model who knows how to easily win the confidence of the shy and gullible Annalyn.
Nico is a manipulative man who just wants to take advantage of Annalyn, who thinks he is really in love with her, but the truth is that he is bringing other women to sleep with him in his apartment.
Annalyn’s trust in Nico is eroded when a woman arrives from abroad to say she is Nico’s fiancee.
This is Katherine, played by Rob Guinto, who also has no inkling at all that Nico is two-timing her while they are having a long-distance relationship.
Annalyn is so disappointed when she learns the truth about Nico’s duplicity.
She is transformed to become a scheming woman, so different from the naive and innocent girl that used to fully trust Nico.
What she has planned for him will surely shock you when the movie starts streaming on Vivamax this coming April 8, Black Saturday.
“Playing the role of a trusting woman who becomes very bitter when she discovers her boyfriend’s infidelity is very challenging,” says Tiffany.
“I have to go through an entire gamut of different emotions to portray the hateful and aggrieved woman in the story. Mahihirap ang mga eksena but with the help of Director Louie Ignacio, I am quite confident na nagawa ko naman nang maayos ang mga eksena ko.”
