MAX COLLINS looks so sexy in her stylish black outfit at the presscon-presive of “Voltes V Legacy”.
She plays a special supporting role in the show as the mother of Martin del Rosario, but she doesn’t mind.
“I am just so happy to be part of this big-budgeted and very important show of the Kapuso Network,” she says.
“Anyone would be so proud to be part of such a prestigious superproduction. At maganda yung role ko as Rozalia, a humanoid alien. Ako yung first wife ni Dennis Trillo as Ned Armstrong.”
In the story, they split up and Dennis gets a second wife, Carla Abellana as Mary Ann, who becomes the mother of three sons: Miguel Tanfelix as Steve, Matt Lozano and Big Bert and Rafael Landicho as Little John who all become part of Voltes V the robot.
Max as Rozalia, in turn, becomes the mother of Zardoz, the Prince of Boazanian Empire who wishes to conquer Earth.
“The show will start with us nina Dennis and Carla then magkakaanak kami at yung mga anak namin ang magiging pangunahing magkalaban,” Max adds.
“Ang gaganda and very expensive ang costumes naming lahat.
"Carla and I started taping this while we were still doing the hit drama, ‘To Have and to Hold’. So ngayon, we’re glad na nagkasama kami uli rito and we both feel honored to be part of such a big show.”
Aside from “Voltes V Legacy”, Max has already completed taping for the international series, “Almost Paradise”.
“The first season was made with ABS-CBN,” she says. “But this time, totally, Hollywood na ang production and I’m very glad to be part of the second season, as produced by Dean Devlin who produced the blockbusters ‘Independence Day’ and ‘Godzilla’.”
What is her role in the series?
“Bale ako ang third wheel sa relationship of Hollywood star Christian Kane as Alex Walker and Samantha Richelle as Detective Kai who were part of the first season.”
So how is it shooting with a foreign production?
“Oh they’re all very warm, very professional. We shot the whole season in Cebu and I really enjoyed it.
"There are other Filipino actors in the cast, like Nonie Buencamino as chief of the Mactan police department, Arthur Acuna as Samantha’s partner as a detective and Ces Quesda as the manager of the hotel where Christian stays.
"We all pray that this new second season will be a hit para magkaroon ng third season. Sa 3rd season daw, full contravida na ang role ko and I look forward to it. Sana nga matuloy.”
She will also be part of the new Bong Revilla sitcom, “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis”.
“We were told we’d be taping bago matapos ang April,” she says. “I will play the role of Elise, ang babaeng pagseselosan ni Beauty Gonzales who plays Sen. Bong’s wife.”
