RURU MADRID AND BIANCA UMALI PAIRED TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME BY GMA PUBLIC AFFAIRS IN FANTASY-ROMANCE 'THE WRITE ONE'

THE CAST OF 'THE WRITE ONE' LED BY RURU MADRID & BIANCA UMALI

REAL LIFE SWEETHEARTS Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali are paired together for the first time in “The Write One”.

Known together as the Ruca love team, they’re also part of “Eat Bulaga” as guest hosts.

Ruru was last seen in the hit fantasy-drama, “Lolong”, while Bianca was last seen in “Mano Po Legacy 2”.

Ruru plays a writer in “The Write One”, which is produced by GMA Public Affairs, also the producer of his “Lolong” last year.

This is produced in cooperation with the streaming service channel, Viu, with whom GMA will also be co-producing the Dennis Trillo-Bea Alonso first team up, “Love Before Sunrise”.

“I’m happy to be reunited with GMA Public Affairs after I did ‘Lolong’ with them, which is really a huge success,” Ruru says.

“‘The Write One’ is a love story with a touch of fantasy na siguradong magugustuhan ng viewers.

"I play Liam, a writer who finds a mysterious typewriter that allows me to rewrite my own life and love story.”

It’s his first time to work with Bianca who plays Joyce.

“Kaya nga I’m really also excited to be given this chance to work with Bianca together in a romantic drama series like this.”

“Hindi kami sanay working with each other,” says Bianca.

“Sanay kaming nagkikita kapag pareho kaming pahinga sa trabaho namin. But this time, magkikita kami while working in the same project.”

The two stars used to be very secretive about their relationship but they’re more open now about it.

Ruru even said in an interview that he is praying that Bianca will be the one with whom he can spend the rest of his life.

But he quickly adds that they have no plans of settling down for good yet.

“We’re  both still very young so hindi kami nagmamadali,” he says. “Malayo pa ang tatakbuhin ng mga buhay at careers namin.

"Yung ganyang big events sa ating buhay, dapat lang na pinagplanuhan munang mabuti.

"Basta lagi kong pinagpe-pray na sana nga, kahit marami pang puedeng mangyari, sana, siya na talaga ang babaeng itinakda ni Lord para sa akin.

"Mangyayari naman yan in due time. Baka in ten years. By that time, we’ll be in our mid-30s so mas stable na kami by then.”

Bianca says that at this point, they’re just happy to be each other’s inspiration to do good in their life and career.

“Maganda kaya ang feeling na gumigising ka sa umaga knowing someone cares for you,” she says.

“We both know na importante kami sa buhay ng isa’t isa.”

Supporting Ruru and Bianca in “The Write One” are another real and reel life couple, Mikee Quintos and Paul Salas, plus an ex-couple, Lotlot de Leon and Ramon Christopher.

The supporting cast also includes Kokoy de Santos, Royce Cabrera, Alma Concepcion, Art Acuna, Analyn Barro and Kaloy Tingcungco, under the direction of Mark Baco.

Bianca still has a completed project with HBO Asia’s longest running series, “Half Worlds”, in their season that focuses on Philippine mythology.

She will play the role of Alex , a half-human, half-encanto, who seeks a plant that will help heal her tribe from their hunger for human flash.

This is under the direction of Mikhail Red.
