SHOWBIZ BIRTHS & DEPARTURES IN 2022: WHO GAVE BIRTH AND WHO SAID GOODBYES

 

























































THERE ARE many births in showbiz this year, mostly from starlets like GMA-7 contravidas Jade Lopez, Stephanie Sol , Arny Ross and Anna Vicente (Anna is so good in ‘Dalawang Ikaw’ and she gave birth to two babies, a boy and a girl). 


GMA beauty queen-actress, Winwyn Marquez, and bida-contrabida-singer Rita Daniela both gave birth to baby girls. They both have yet to tie the knot with their babies’ dads.


PBB housemate Dionne Monsanto gave birth to a baby girl in Switzerland where her husband is based. 


Singer Angeline Quinto gave birth to a love son. Comedienne Kitkat and Ynna Asistio both delivered baby girls.


Big stars who gave birth this year is led by Angelica Panganiban, who had a baby girl with businessman Gregg Homan as dad. 


Jennylyn Mercado became a mom for the second time, a baby girl sired by Dennis Trillo. Her panganay is a boy fathered by Patrick Garcia. 


The very fecund and prolific couple Iya Villania and Drew Arellano gave birth to their fourth child, a baby boy. 


Dimples Romana and husband Boyet Ahmee had their third child, a baby boy.  


Actors who became dads for the first time are Smokey Manaloto (who had a baby boy at the age of 51) and Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino, also a son with wife Melissa Gohing. 


Infanticipating right now are Iza Calzado, Bianca King and Jessy Mendiola (preggy with the first apo of Ate Vi.)


THOSE are the ones who just arrived. 


And these are those who bid their final farewell.     


Actors who left us include Susan Roces, Cherie Gil, Gloria Sevilla, Sylvia La Torre, Rustica Carpio, Luz Fernandez, retired actors Val Castelo and Carlos Salazar (both from LVN Pictures), “That’s Entertainment” alum Romano Vasquez, retired actresses Lourdes Medel, Minda Morena, Margie Tanquintic and Susan Henson, and comedians Don Pepot and Caloy Alde.


This list also includes APO vocalist and composer Danny Javier, make-up artist-designer-actor Fanny Serrano, comedian-director Boy Alano, comedian Flora Gasser, 


writer-director Siegfried Barros Sanchez, producer-director Shandii Bacolod, news broadcaster Ricardo Dong Puno, sports broadcaster Boyet Sison, PR practitioner Hanzel Villafuerte, comedian director Philip Lazaro and TV host Atty. Jose Sison of “Ipaglaban Mo”.   


Other significant people who left us are National Artist for Literature F. Sionil Jose, athlete Lydia de Vega, and former Pres. Fidel Ramos. Entertainment press people who wrote 30 are Ogie Ignacio, George Vail Kabristante and Ricky Calderon.  Let’s take a pause and pray for the repose of their souls.
