CHRISTINE BERMAS & CHLOE JENNA AS RATED BY THEIR SENIOR CO-STAR RICKY DAVAO IN VIVAMAX' EROTIC THRILLER, 'LAMPAS LANGIT'

CHRISTINE, CHLOE & MILENA IN 'LAMPAS LANGIT'

CHRISTINE BERMAS is certainly now one of the top stars of Vivamax.

Her “Scorpio Nights 3” continues to be one of the most watched films in the country’s top streaming platform and yet, here is her newest movie, “Lampas Langit”, starting to stream this Friday.

Does she think it will top the success of “Scorpio Nights 3”?

“Well, I hope so po,” she says. “Both of them are very sexy, but mas may kakaibang drama ang ‘Lampas Langit’ kasi it’s also a thriller.

"The story revolves on two couples. Una, kami ni Sir Ricky Davao. Then sina Baron Geisler and Chloe Jenna, who play husband and wife.

"They think that I am the daughter of Sir Ricky and Baron is attracted to me. We have an affair and later on, many secrets will be revealed leading to a very exciting and explosive finale.”

She says her role in “Lampas Langit” as Belle is much more challenging than her role as Pinay in “Scorpio Nights 3”.

“Ang story po kasi ng ‘Lampas Langit’ is about manipulation and it will be revealed later on na yung character ko, na akala ng mga tao’y tatahi-tahimik lang, is a scheming manipulator with her own designs on the other characters.

"It's more of an acting piece.”

“Lampas Langit” is written by award-winning screenwriter Racquel Villavicencio and directed by singer-actor-director Jeffrey Hidalgo in what he says is his most daring film ever, after his past two works, “Silong” and “Eva”.

Jeffrey is pleased with the performances of all his actors.

“I’m very proud of everyone involved in ‘Lampas Langit’,” he says. “It’s a good ensemble cast as everyone delivered more than what we expected.

'Sina Ricky Davao and Baron Geisler, they’re both seasoned actors at hindi matatawaran ang kakayahan at karanasan nila so they are really excellent in their respective roles.

"Chloe Jenna is a first timer but hasa siya sa teatro so she also delivered like a real professional. She plays Mylene, who's loud and bipolar at malayo sa kanya in real life.

"As for Christine, she really amazed all of us as she's just perfect sa pivotal role ng Belle. It’s a difficult role that requires cunning and subtle nuances of emotions and she played the character the way we imagined Belle should be.”

We ask Christine and Chloe how is it working with a veteran actor like Ricky Davao who is a director himself.

“I’m very thankful na nakatrabaho ko si Sir Ricky kasi napakaraming advice ang ibinigay niya sa’kin,” says Christine.

“He has no airs and really helped me in our scenes together. He even shared with me some methods in acting.

"He really treated me like a real daughter. Hindi siya madamot na aktor, very considerate siya, lalo at alam niyang baguhan ka.”

“First time ko to meet him and he’s very humble,” says Chloe.

“Alam niya first movie ko ito and he is very fatherly sa set. Alam niyang mas sanay ako sa theatre, so he reminds of the technicals about facing the camera.

"Ginabayan niya talaga ako pero sa sobrang galing niya, sa mata pa lang niya, madadala ka na.”

We ask Ricky what he thinks of Christine and Chloe?

“They’re both okay,” he says. “Christine is raw but in her rawness, malalim ang hugot niya. Masunurin siya sa instructions ng director.

"She’s very simple but yung pagka-simple niya, malakas ang dating, which really worked well for her character in ‘Lampas Langit’ na mysterious and secretive.

"Chloe took up theatre arts in UP and did plays with the late National Artist Tony Mabesa. Magaling siya and very serious in her craft.

"Pareho silang very professional at masarap katrabaho. Lagi kaming happy sa set with our director, Jeffrey Hidalgo.”
