DIEGO LOYZAGA ON WORKING WITH HIS DAD CESAR MONTANO & PLAYING THE COUNTRY'S CURRENT PRESIDENT IN 'MAID IN MALACANANG'

DIEGO LOYZAGA is the busiest Vivamax actor today.

He is in two new completed films, “How to Love Mr. Heartache” with Sue Ramirez (which will be shown first on Amazon) and in “Babaeng Nawawala sa Sarili” with Ayanna Misola (opening July 15 on Vivamax.)

And now, he’s shooting yet another new movie, “Maid in Malacanang”, which already has a July 20 playdate in cinemas.

He is playing the role of Bongbong Marcos and he’s excited as it is his dad, Cesar Montano, who plays the late Pres. Ferdinand Marcos.

“This has been a long time coming and I think everything happens for a reason,” he says.

“I’ve really been waiting for this moment and now, it’s happening, I finally get to work with my dad and it’s sobrang nakakakaba kasi we all know he has already won so many acting awards.

"Siempre I have be on my toes and always give my best.”

Even his dad says he is also excited with the prospect of their working together.

“Yes, we are both excited, kaming dalawa. I look forward to it kasi lagi kaming magkakasama. And this is not for a small platform like streaming kasi the movie will be shown in theaters.”

He also can’t believe that they’re doing a very big project together.

“Imagine, he will play the late president and I will play our current president now. Kaya patong-patong ang pressure.

"It’s not just I’m working with my dad, it’s also the first time for me to play a real life character, of a very important man, the president of our country at the moment.

"So talagang it’s a very big deal! I feel the pressure but I welcome the challenge.

"If there is any time that I’m given the opportunity to prove myself as an actor, this would be it, so dapat lang na galingan ko talaga kasi kung hindi, nakakahiya.

"Kasama ko rin dito as my sisters sina Cristine Reyes as Imee and Ella Cruz as Irene.”
