ALEX DIAZ SHINES IN VIVAMAX' 'PATHIRSTY' AS THE HUNKY OBJECT OF AFFECTION OF ADRIANNA SO & KYCH MINEMOTO

ALEX DIAZ shone as the lone leading man in Vivamax’ hilarious sexy comedy, “PaThirsty”, who is coveted by a woman, Adrianna So, and her gay best friend, Kych Minemoto.

We first saw him in the 2016 indie film, “Dagsin”, with Janine Gutierrez and we noticed then that he has a good screen presence.

We thought it’s be a breakout role for him, but his career didn’t really take off.

Instead, he became controversial in 2019 when a physical fitness instructor reposted on social media his message asking for a date. Of course, it was talked about in the grapevine and Alex had to admit that he is bisexual.

Now, it’s no longer an issue for Alex as he now accepts roles where he is bisexual, like in “PaThirsty”, written and directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal who’s best known for the gay “Gameboy” web series.

In the story, he plays, the scion of the rich Sebastian family who owns a newly opened resort hotel.

To help promote their business, he invites a group of vloggers to stay in the resort and write about it.

Among the vloggers are best friends Adrianna So as Pearl and her gay amiga, Kych Minemoto as Achilles. They both fall in love with him and he gets to bed them both.

“This is my most daring work to date,” he says. “You’d definitely see more of me in here than I’ve ever shown on screen before.

"Of course, with the trusted guidance of my director, the sex scenes were something that we thought extensively about nu’ng pre-production pa lang. I trusted both Direk Ivan and my co-actors.”

He didn’t have any reluctance making love with both Adrianna and Kych.

“You’d see me doing very spicy love scenes with both Adrianna and Kych. At this point in my life, I feel like my career is so much more than just a personal thing.

"It has become a beacon for a lot of people who don’t see representation in the media and, for me, that gives me so much purpose. Palagi nating naririnig that sexuality is really not an issue.

"For me, if the material is good, if the material can stand, we’ll do it.”

He says his love scenes with both Adriana and Kych are filled with honesty.

“Yes, we gave it our all as it’s not gonna work if you’re not completely invested in it.

"So, I think that was the sexy thing for me, na yung trust namin with one another, kaya namin talagang tumalon sa bangin, kumbaga. Surprisingly, hindi siya naging mahirap kasi siyempre, like me, I don’t identify as heterosexual.

"So, you always have that worry na kapag isang heterosexual yung kasama mo, baka mailang. Pero for some reason, sobrang ganda lahat ng chemistry namin sa set, leading up to the sex scenes.”

He says Direk Ivan took really good care of them.

“He shot the sex scenes for later on, para we can get to know each other better muna. Me and Kych, we’re like, Bro, let’s do this. Let’s just do it, it’s a great material.

"Huwag nating sayangin yung opportunity na mapaganda yung sex scenes na ito. Same with Adrianna who’s very professional about it.”

He said that after the controversy three years ago, he thought his showbiz career is over and he returned to Canada for a while to work in a pizza parlor. But then, offers came again and now he’s even getting lead roles.

“At least now, I’m no longer hiding anything about myself,” he says. “And it’s still me. I’m happy continuing to explore myself. I haven’t been in a relationship since then.

"I just go dating. I got scared of commitment and I still have bad trust issues, so better to be free and easy muna.”

“PaThirsty” will be streaming on Vivamax starting June 29, co-starring Chad Kinis, Bob Jbeili and Kate Alejandrino.
