SPARKLE GMA ARTIST CENTER 'SIGNED FOR STARDOM' EVENT SEES 25 TOP AND RISING STARS INKING CONTRACTS WITH THEM, INCLUDING SWEETHEARTS JERIC GONZALES & RABIYA MATEO

THE SPARKLE GMA Artist Center just had its biggest contract signing of 2022 in their “Signed for Stardom” event.

They welcomed a total of 25 of the industry’s top and rising artists to be nurtured as Kapuso talents.

Those who signed with Sparkle include Camille Prats, Ken Chan, Kim Domingo, Max Collins, Rabiya Mateo, Rufa Mae Quinto, Jeric Gonzales, Zonia Mejia, Radson Flores, and Lexi Gonzales.

Joining them are Betong Sumaya, Kokoy De Santos, Nikki Co, Faith Da Silva, Luis Hontiveros, Yasser Marta, Jennie Gabriel, and Dion Ignacio. “The Clash” alumni Mauie Francisco, Vilmark Viray, and Marianne Osabel were also present, as well as newcomers Katrina Chavez, Kirst Viray, Kazel Kinouchi, and Mariel Pamintuan.

In a video message, GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon said “exciting times” are ahead of the artists as they join Sparkle. GMA Network's Senior Vice President for Entertainment Lilybeth Rasonable added the network's promise to take good care of their artists. The artists said they are grateful to be part of the family and promised they will do their best to deliver whatever is expected of them.

A special Sparkle zoom presscon was later held and 8 of its stars attended: Jeric Gonzales, Rabiya Mateo, Radson Flores, Nikki Co, Anthony Rosaldo, Lexi Gonzales, Katrina Chavez and Kirst Viray.

Jeric and Rabiya signed up together and from the way they look, it seems the rumor that they’re currently having an LQ is not true. Do they want to work together?

“We started sa ‘Wish Ko Lang’, that’s where we met, and after that, binakuran na niya ako agad,” says Rabiya who’s very open about her feelings for Jeric. “Sana someday, magkaroon kami uli ng project together.”

“We really look forward to working with each other again,” says Jeric, who’s in the remake of the Koreanovela “Start Up”. “Sana show na ako leading man at siya ang leading lady. Gusto ko siyang makasama para sabay kaming mag grow dito.”

Jeric is very thankful for all the blessings he’s been receiving lately.

“This year has been a great one for me, andami kong blessings.” he says. “I won two acting awards from international film festivals for my movie, ‘Broken Blooms’.

"I’m very grateful to GMA for giving me ‘Start Up’ at ang ganda ng role ko. We’re all excited na makita ng tao ang ginagawa namin ngayon in this Filipino adaptation of a hit K drama.

"Ang dami naming nilagay na Filipino flavor and twists dito. And I’m also very thankful that Rabiya came to my life. We really love each other very much.”

Looks like they bring good luck to each other. Rabiya is now given the chance to fulfill her dream of hosting a show as she will be hosting a new variety show with Pokwang and Kim Atienza.

“I look forward to working with them kasi funny si Ate Pokwang and intellectual naman si Kuya Kim. In this show, I can show my real personality, yung si Rabiya na talaga.”
