AS THE PANDEMIC CONTINUES TO RAGE ON, SEN. IMEE MARCOS SHARES THE TEN PANDEMIC ESSENTIALS SHE NEEDS TO SURVIVE THIS HEALTH CRISIS

THE VIRUS RAGES on and the pandemic is still with us. The overwhelming surge of Covid19 as 2022 began has made a lot of people extremely careful more than ever as everyone takes the extra effort to stay safe and vigilant to protect themselves and their loved ones against the virus.

People are loading-up on essential vitamins and other health supplements while exercising regularly, eating healthy, sleeping well, practicing social distancing, and following protocols in strengthening their immune systems as everyone continues to live their lives in weathering the health crisis.

Imee Marcos, like every Pinoy mother, takes care of her family while doing her job simultaneously by maintaining her good health as she remains free of Covid19 with her tried and tested pandemic essentials which she highly recommends for everyone to keep handy at home aside from the vitamins and supplements that she takes regularly every day.

Imee now shares here her top 10 pandemic essentials:

1 Malunggay – “I put Malunggay in everything from dinengdeng to tinola and all my other favorite recipes. I also take it as a supplement in capsule and powder form. Our Lolas are right as Malunggay is really the all-time, all-around champion vegetable and it is readily available everywhere…pwedeng pitasin lang sa likod bahay.”

2 EVCO – “The Indays are right too as I take a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and mix it in my morning and afternoon coffee.”

3 Pili Oil – “The Manays got it right as this is Bicol’s relaxing and fragrant oil that I absolutely love. I rub this on my body after a long day at work and it helps me relax and get my 8-hour sleep.”

4 Tsinelas With Kunwari Magji-Gym Top and Shorts – “I’d go for comfort over style anytime. This is my new formal for the new normal. I have officially said goodbye to high heels.”

5 Eyeglasses – “After being on lockdown for almost two years, I started reading books for fun again in between household chores and work. And I need my reading glasses for this!”

6 Fun Food/Chicheria – “I love Porac’s parmesan chips, Bagnet chips, cornicks, and of course chocolates as I am a certified chocoholic. I highly recommend for everyone to stock-up on your favorite snacks to make working and hanging out at home more bearable.”

7 Sun Hat – “This is important as I play with my apos and as I do my gardening chores as a true-blue Plantita.”

8 Inabel Vest – “My favorite fashion hack – this makes me look instantly kagalang-galang on my Zoom meetings. I just put this on top of any regular house clothes and it just does the trick.”

9 Instant Matcha Tea – “This melts the cholesterol from our heavy home cooking.”

10 Clone Phone – “This is a very sturdy and brandless android phone that I instantly fell in love with. Sumuko na ang main phone ko sa dami ng texts at sa dami ng mga ka-chikahan ko at tinutulungan ko especially this pandemic. Sobrang tibay nito, promise, at very affordable pa…ilang beses ko na ito nabagsak pero buhay na buhay pa rin siya – perfect for busy, on-the-go moms like me.

“These are just some of my essentials,” says Imee. “Of course, I highly recommend for everyone to stay at home and go out just for the essentials. For those who are not working at home, you are truly heroes and may you always keep yourselves safe by using facemasks and face shields, load-up on your vitamins, and always keep a bottle of alcohol and hand sanitizers handy.”
