HEAVEN PERALEJO SAYS 2021 ENDS WELL FOR HER WITH HER NEW MOVIE, 'HAPPY TIMES', & HER GRADUATION FROM COLLEGE

HEAVEN PERALEJO says 2021 is surely a memorable year for her.

She’s always being talked about because of her intriguing love life, first with Manny Pacquiao’s son, Jimuel, and later with Kiko Estrada with bashers claiming she stole Kiko from his past girlfriend, Devon Seron.

After that, she was also rumored to be on with her co-star in the currently showing Upstream movie, “Happy Times”, Kimpoy Feliciano, but she denied it and stressed that they are just good friends.

“Right now, I don’t need any romantic relationship,” she says. “Marami akong naging learnings because of my past experiences.

"There were times when I felt I wanted to give up, but with the help of my family and friends, I survived all the trials that came my way. As for the bashers, hindi ko na lang sila pinapansin.”

It helped her a lot when she went on vacation.

“Yes, when I went to Siargao for a break, ang dami kong realizations for healing. I realized that ang laki nga pala ng mundo, na kung anumang problema ang dumating, makakaya ko.

"Unang-una, my mom is always there to back me up. As of now, bagay sa akin ang title ng movie namin ni Ricci Rivero, ‘Happy Times’, kasi I can really say na happy ako.”

The year ends well for her because she not only has a new movie now being shown on Upstream.ph but she has just graduated from college.

She got her business management degree last December 17 from Southville International School.

“Ang sarap isiping graduate na ako,” she beams. “There was a time I thought I couldn’t do it kasi ang hirap mag-aral at magtrabaho at the same time.

"But my mom is always there to encourage me on how important to get a college degree kasi kahit mawala na ako sa showbiz, I can use my education to change my career if I want to.”

Going back to her movie, what is her role in “Happy Times”?

“I play Georgina, or George for short. Magkasama kami ng sister ko na si Sharlene San Pedro sa same school. Ricci Rivero plays the popular campus jock named Kim.

"Akala ni Sharlene, nililigawan siya ni Ricci, but ang goal pala nito is just to use her to be his bridge para diskartehan ako. It’s a fun, kilig movie. We all enjoyed doing it and I know young viewers will have fun watching it.”

Heaven says she’s trying to wean herself from her social media accounts.

“Kasi dati, umiikot na lang ang buhay ko sa social media. Now, as much as possible, I stay away from my cellphone.

"Kumuha na lang ako ng social media administrator at siya na ang bahalang mag-manage ng accounts ko for me. Mas naging tahimik at masaya ang buhay ko. I no longer always think kung ano ba ang reaction o sasabihin sa akin ng ibang tao.”
