CHRISTOPHER DE LEON BACK WITH GMA-7 IN 'THE LOOKOUT' THRILLER EPISODE OF 'I CAN SEE YOU', STARTS THIS MONDAY NIGHT

MULTI-AWARDED actor Christopher de Leon is back with GMA-7 in “The Lookout” after he was last seen in ABS-CBN’s “Love Thy Woman”.

His wife, Sandy Andolong, is now also with GMA playing the role of Sanya Lopez’ mother in the hit romcom, “First Yaya”.

Brother Boyet (as he’s called by his friends in showbiz) is in “The Lookout”, a week-long episode in GMA’s hit primetime drama anthology, “I Can See You”, that starts airing this Monday night after "First Yaya".

“I enjoyed working with Kapuso young stars Barbie Forteza, Paul Salas and the other members of the cast,” he says.

“I gained new friends. Lahat sila, very professional at magaan katrabaho when we did our lock in taping. I get my energy from them and they get into their characters right away. I’m inspired by their enthusiasm to work and I’m so happy to be part of this project.”

What’s the role he plays?

“I play a doctor named Dr. Robert Penuliar, who’s connected with a top hospital. In the story, father ako ni Paul as Marius and my wife is played by Marina Benipayo as Tessa.

"Daughter namin at youngest child si Elijah Alejo as Christine. We live in a village of fairly wealthy people na katabi lang ang isang community of squatters where Barbie and her family live naman. Pagpaplanuhan kaming nakawan nina Barbie.”

Barbie plays Emma Castro, a poor girl without a permanent job who tries to earn a living by doing all sorts of rakets or odd jobs.

She’s under a lot of pressure because her younger sister, Joanne (played by Starstruck discover Ella Cristofani), is sick in the hospital and their medical bills are piling up.

Barbie is so hard up that she agrees to be the lookout when her friend, Luis Hontiveros as Dalo, plans to rob the house of Dr. Robert and his family.

But to their amazement, when they get into the Penuliar home, an intruder has already broken in ahead of them and killed the housemaid.

“The story is presented as a suspense-thriller,” adds Brother Boyet or Bro. Bo.

“What is the mystery that is happening in our household? Who killed the maid and what are the plans of the bad guys for our family? Yun ang mapapanood nyo sa ‘The Lookout’.”

How is it working with GMA again?

“I’m grateful I did this with GMA. I’m doing another show after this na out of the box ang material. GMA is doing very well and I thank God for the blessings that come my way.”

Paul Salas feels so happy to get the chance to work with a seasoned actor like Bro. Bo.

“We his stature in the industry and everyone has high respects for Tito Boyet,” he says. “Swerte ko namang ako ang mapiling gumanap na anak niya rito. It’s such a big honor to work with him. And also with Barbie, na nakatrabaho ko na before sa soap na ‘Kara Mia’.

"Challenging ang role ko rito as Marius kasi naaksidente ako at napilay. I walk with crutches so I’m incapacitated nang may masamang maganap sa aming family. Viewers will enjoy this thriller with many surprising twists.”

Also in the cast of “The Lookout” are Adrian Alandy as Lakay, an ex-military officer who suffers from post traumatic disorder and has become a gun for hire; Arthur Solinap as Randy Penuliar, the younger doctor of Dr. Robert who is also a physician and has accidentally killed a patient;

Benjie Paras as the barangay captain in the community of squatters where Barbie lives and Jana Trias as Yaya Minda, the chief housemaid of the Penuliars who has a connection with Barbie and Luis.

“The Lookout” is directed by L.A. Madridejos and Jules Katanyag and will start airing on Monday, April 19, at 8:50 PM on GMA-7, GTV and Heart of Asia.
