'FAN GIRL' HAS MULTIPLE NOMINATIONS INCLUDING BEST PICTURE, BEST ACTRESS, BEST ACTOR & BEST DIRECTOR 

BELA PADILLA IS NOMINATED BEST ACTRESS FOR THIS FILM WHILE JC SANTOS AS BEST ACTOR 'MOTEL ACACIA'


ANOTHER FILM WITH MULTIPLE NOMINATIONS LED BY ADRIAN LINDAYAG AS BEST ACTOR


THE EDDY AWARDS NIGHT given by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) will be held online on Marso 22. Take note that the great majority of the nominated films were shown online, not in theaters.


Newcomer Charlie Dizon (Fan Girl) will compete with more senior stars Coleen Garcia (Mia), Bela Padilla (On Vodka, Beers and Regrets), Cristine Reyes (UnTrue) and Sylvia Sanchez (Coming Home). Charlie’s edge is she already won as best actress in the recent Metro Manila Filmfest.


Competing for best actor are John Arcilla (Suarez: The Healing Priest), Paulo Avelino (Fan Girl), Elijah Canlas (He Who Is Without Sin), Adrian Lindayag (The Boy Foretold By The Stars) and JC Santos (Motel Acacia).


Vying for Best Picture are Fan Girl, Hayop Ka! The Nimfa Dimaano Story, He Who Is Without Sin, The Boy Foretold By The Stars and UnTrue.


Best director nominees are Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo (UnTrue), Antoinette Jadaone (Fan Girl), Jason Paul Laxamana (He Who Is Without Sin), Avid Liongoren (Hayop Ka! The Nimfa Dimaano Story), at Irene Emma Villamor (On Vodka, Beers and Regrets).


For Best Supporting Actor, the nominees are Ricky Davao (Sunday Night Fever), Matteo Guidicelli (On Vodka, Beers and Regrets), Edgar Allan Guzman (Coming Home), Zanjoe Marudo (Isa Pang Bahaghari) and Enzo Pineda (He Who Is Without Sin).


Nominated as Best Supporting Actress are Via Antonio (Alter Me), Rhen Escaño (UnTrue), Agot Isidro (Motel Acacia), Sanya Lopez (Isa Pang Bahaghari) at Shaina Magdayao (Tagpuan).
