WINWYN MARQUEZ ENJOYING HER ROLE AS A FUNNY CONTRAVIDA IN 'OWE MY LOVE', HAPPY FOR EX-BF MARK HERRAS & HIS NEW BABY BOY

WINWYN MARQUEZ is enjoying her role as a funny contravida to Lovi Poe in “Owe My Love” that starts airing on February 15 on GMA Telebabad. She plays Trixie Gibs, the ex-girlfriend of Benjamin Alves who desperately wants to reconcile with him.

“Challenge for me yung role kasi nga villain siya, pero may twist and touch of comedy, kasi laging pumapalpak ang schemes niya,” she says.

“First time ko gagawin ito kaya excited ako. Humingi nga ako ng tips sa father ko, who everyone knows is a good comedian.

"I have to bring out the inner Joey Marquez in me. I told him kabado ako kasi ang mga kasama namin, puro matitinik na komedyante, like Ai Ai de las Alas, Nova Villa, Leo Martinez, Kiray Celis, Ruby Rodriguez, Brod Pete. Sabi ko, baka lamunin lang nila ako.

"But in fairness sa kanilang lahat, ang babait nila and very helpful in giving me tips how to do comic scenes.”

Lovi Poe, the show’s leading lady, butts in at this point during the zoom con and tells Winwyn.

“You have nothing to worry about kasi you’re a good comedian. You have perfect comic timing nga.”

Winwyn profusely thanked Lovi. They have previously worked together in the lock in taping of “High Rise Lovers” for “I Can See You”, so they’re already good friends.

It’s common knowledge that Lovi has a boyfriend based in the U.S. now, Montgomery Blencowe. How about Winwyn? Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, what’s the state of her heart at the moment?

“Well, after three years, masaya ako as I’m not single anymore,” she says.

So she and he new and unnamed BF won’t be together on Valentine’s Day since their lock in taping for “Owe My Love” will be until March. Isn’t that sad?

“Okay lang naman. He understands na trabaho ito. Hindi naman ako masa-sad kasi kasama ko sina Lovi and the rest of the cast on Valentine’s Day. Ikinukuwento ko nga sa kanila, bago pa lang kasi kami, and they give me advice.

"Hindi ako malulungkot kasi sina Lovi makes me feel na hindi ako nag iisa. So we’ll see each other na lang after the lock in taping.”

She’s glad she gets along fine with her co-stars in “Owe My Love”.

“I’m so happy to be around people who keep fits, like Lovi, Ms. Ai Ai de las Alas, Benjamin Alves and Jackielou Blanco, kasi sabay-sabay kaming mag-workout sa gym dito.

"May dala rin silang sarili nilang equipment at pinapahiram nila ako. Si Jackielou Blanco na kasama kong villain dito, very disciplined. When you see her, sasabihin mo talaga I want to be like her when I grow up. Nakakatulong talaga ang workout for a more positive mindset and to give you extra energy.”

Is she aware that her former BF, Mark Herras, is now the dad of a baby boy as his partner Nicole Donesa just delivered their child?

“Oh yes. I’m happy for him. Wala kaming chance magkita kasi we don’t have a project together. But I will congratulate him when we see each other.”
