GMA SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER FOR 'ALL OUT SUNDAYS': MS. RIZA MARINAS

‘ALL OUT SUNDAYS’ is celebrating its first anniversary this Sunday with a spectacular live presentation direct from GMA's Studio 7.

To announce this, they had a special zoomcon with AOS regulars Glaiza de Castro, Christian Bautista, Rayver Cruz, Miguel Tanfelix and Kyline Alcantara facing the press online.

AOS actually just started on the air when the pandemic came and stopped them from performing live but just the went on by zoom and streaming.

“We’re really happy that AOS fans stood by us and in one year, talagang palakas nang palakas ang show,” says Christian.

“We really feel super blessed na the show’s fans, nakatutok talaga sa amin nang buong taon at naging consistent sila sa pagsuporta sa amin,” says Rayver.

“I’m also thankful because AOS gave me the chance to do some singing. Sobrang excited kami kasi live na live kami this Sunday.”

“Yes, sobrang sarap mag-perform nang live, kaya don’t miss us this Sunday,” says Miguel. “Times 2 or times 3 siguro ang energy na ibibigay namin in all the numbers that we will do.”

“Hindi madali ang pinagdaanan namin during the pandemic when we’re performing sa bahay lang namin,” says Kyline. “But we’re so happy na kami pa rin ang leading Sunday noontime show at naitawid namin ito for one year kahit sa streaming lang.

"Pero siempre, iba talaga ang excitement kapag live, so abangan nyo this Sunday na live kami sa GMA studio.”

“Abangan nyo rin this Sunday, we are starting a new comedy segment called ‘Eternal Flame’,” says Glaiza. “Bale ito ang kapalit ng ‘Tapsikret’ na biglang naputol noong March.

"Kasama pa rin namin si Paolo Contis and may bagong love triangle. May parts ito na period kasi set in the past, parang flashbacks, so naiiba siya.”

The fans of the show have various suggestions about AOS, like making it all musical and removing the comedy portions. What can they say about this? It’s Senior Program Manager Ruth Marinas who replies:

“We listen to the feedback of the fans and we appreciate their suggestions, but we can’t please everyone. When we launched AOS last year, it's with comedy na, so it’s part of our DNA.

"There are also a lot of people who appreciate the comedy, many of them like to laugh while they’re having lunch. So gagalingan na lang namin lahat ng segments ng show. Abangan nyo this Sunday kasi star studded as the cast of all the other new GMA shows this new year will be there.”

She says February will be a very special month for them.

“February is Valentine, so Kapuso month ito and we have a series of celebrations. On February 7, we will be introducing a new product from GMA. On February 14, it’s Valentine’s day so very special yan, siksik, liglig at umaapaw in what we will offer to you.”

What are their safety measures now that they’re going live?

“There will still be no live studio audience. Only the audience and the staff, the artists will be there but, even on stage, may social distancing pa rin. We have health guards directing us to make sure we don’t disobey any rules.

"Lahat din, nag-swab test to make sure everyone in the studio is negative. The artists, bawal tumawid ng dressing rooms. May kanya-kanya silang area. Bawal din ang maraming alalays.

"They’re all cooperative naman, yung iba, sila na ang nagbibihis, nagme-make up on their own. Pati sa pagkain, di na puedeng sabay-sabay for the safety of everyone.”

What can they say that their rival show is being aired on two different stations?

“Competition is always good kasi it motivates us to give our best,” says Christian. “Ang panalo diyan is the audience, kasi pagandahan ng mapapanood nila.

"It’s a friendly kind of competition naman. We all love what we are doing, which is performing. It gives us so much joy to entertain the audience. The whole AOS cast, suportahan kami, no rivalry among us, lahat naghihilahang pataas. Our hashtag now is AOS, Number One.”
