WELCOMING DECEMBER, THE LAST MONTH OF THE YEAR THAT BRINGS BITTERSWEET MEMORIES OF PAST CHRISTMASES & HOPE FOR A BRIGHTER NEW YEAR!!!!

DECEMBER, the last month of the year!!!!

There's something special about this month and we have so many good memories of December, specially when we were in grade school and high school. As December comes, we’d make lanterns in school and Christmas decorations made with crepe paper, foil, tinsel and papel de hapon.

Sometimes, we also put up a Christmas tree in some classes and help decorate the school.

We prepare for our class Christmas party and we also had exchange gifts with inexpensive items like bath soap and towel.

Life was so simple then. We were happy with our simple joys.

And December then was really cold. When we go to the simbang gabi at 4 AM, we remember wearing jackets to protect us from the cold Siberian winds of the season.

Now, no more. Blame climate change.

So much has changed. Not only because of the pandemic, but also we got old.

Now at mid-70s and at the pre-dearture area, we really feel we’ve grown not only older and wiser but more tolerant of a lot of things. Live and let live.

We are just too happy and grateful that God us the chance to experience life in this world and HE has given countless blessings that we truly appreciate.

Our cup overflows. May we all have a great month of December and my best wishes to all as we celebrate the Christmas season!!!!
