TV5 AIRS THREE NEW SHOWS FROM BRIGHTLIGHT PRODUCTIONS: sitcom 'OH MY DAD', musical variety show 'SUNDAY NOONTIME LIVE' & romance-drama 'I GOT YOU'

BRIGHTLIGHT PRODUCTIONS had a zoom mediacon to introduce three of their new shows on TV5: ‘Oh My Dad’, ‘Sunday Noontime Live’ and ‘I Got You’, attended by Brightlight top honcho Cong. Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez and TV5 big boss Robert Galang who gave the welcome remarks.

The shows are designed to make your -BER months bigger and better.

Mr. Benitez said he looks forward to a long and fruitful partnership with TV5 with whom they’re launching six shows. Mr. Galang agreed and said they’re very satisfied with their collaboration with Brightlight as a blocktimer and it will surely bound to be a win-win partnership for them both.

They start with Mega-Manila and NCR, but eventually, they will go nationwide including Visayas and Mindanao and they expect to grow even bigger in the years to come, giving jobs to a lot more people, both actors and creative workers behind the camera.

‘Oh My Dad’ is a heartwarming sitcom full of positive values about family, love and acceptance. It stars Ian Veneracion as Matthew Balderama or Matmat, a dad who didn’t know he sired three kids with three different women. His three kids are Louise Abuel, Sue Ramirez and Adrian Lindayag.

Also in the cast are Dimples Romana as Sandra (Ian’s love interest), Gloria Diaz as Dimples’ aunt, Ariel Ureta as Ian’s dad and Adrian Lindayag, directed by Jeffrey Jeturian and produced by Atty. Joji V. Alonso of Quantum Films.

They taped on a lock in location and they have already taped several episodes even before the show has started airing on Saturday, October 24 at 5 PM.

“Sunday Noontime Live” stars who joined the mediacon are Maja Salvador, Catriona Gray, Jake Ejercito and Donny Pangilinan, directed by Johnny Manahan. Donny says the show will be different from other noontime shows as “It’s going to be young, fun, and extraordinary.”

This will start airing 12 noon on Sunday, October 18. Piolo Pascual is also a host but was conspicuously absent.  Writers were asking why he didn’t show up at the TV5 mediacon and one writer said: “Umiiwas siguro at baka matanong about BB Gandanghari.”

Stars of the romantic drama “I Got You” present in the mediacon are Beauty Gonzales, RK Bagatsing and Jane Oineza. Beauty plays Del, a new therapist in Zamboanga who studied in Spain. She meets RK as Louie, a soldier suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD.

They fall in love and it is a whirlwind romance but eventually Beauty discovers that RK’s stories are all full of lies so she confronts him about it. They split and years later, Beauty puts up her own therapy clinic and later meets Jane Oineza as Rissa, a beauty blogger who’s having problems with her boyfriend.

What Beauty doesn’t know is that Jane or Rissa is the new girlfriend of RK. “I Got You” is a unique love triangle with a twist from hit moviemaker, Dan Villegas of “English Only, Please” and “Exes Baggage”. This will be shown on Sundays after “Sunday Noontime Live”.
