JOHN REGALA LUCKY TO HAVE CARING FRIENDS BUT BETH OROPESA SEEMS TO HAVE ANOTHER IDEA

ELIZABETH OROPESA wrote a letter in her social media account, saying:  “Ipagpatawad ninyo. Personal opinion ko po ito.

“It is unfortunate that we chose to help people who were given many opportunities to have a good life, nagkapera, sumikat pero winaldas, nag-drugs, alcohol at iba pang bisyo.

“Life is not fair.

She didn’t mention any name but it’s obvious that she’s referring to John Regala who was given so many blessings during his heydays.

He did both lead and contravida roles, won acting awards, but it is common knowledge that he had many vices like drugs and booze.

In other words, despite his blessings, he didn’t take good care of himself, of his own health, and he brought upon himself whatever condition he is in now.

He's lucky that caring friends like Aster Amoyo, FDCP Chair Liza Dino, Nadia Montenegro and Chuckie Dreyfus asked for solicitations to help shoulder the expenses for his medications and confinement at the National Kidney & Transplant Institute.

But then, he insisted to leave the hospital last Wednesday, even if he has not yet fully recovered from his many ailments like liver cirrhosis and gout.

Nadia feels sad but says: “We did our best. We wanted sana to keep him there hanggang lumakas siya at makatanggap na ng meds at food ulit ang katawan niya. Pero siyempre, like any other patient, naiinip, nalulungkot, at mas gusto natin sa kunsaan tayo kumportable.

"He wants to go home. After this, all I can do is pray for him and hope he learns to be obedient sa mga nag-aalaga at nagmamahal sa kanya.

We can only do so much. I’m just grateful for the opportunity given to us to help my brother and my co-actor together with Chuckie, Nanay Aster, and the rest.”
