RICHARD YAP with former Starstruck contestand Jesi Corcuera, a transman who now has a moustache and bird

RICHARD YAP was the guest in an episode of “Bawal Judgmental” in “Eat Bulaga” last Saturday, and now, just like Pokwang when was a guest in the same show, there are rumors that he will soon transfer to GMA-7, specially now that the franchise of ABS-CBN to operate has not been renewed by its opponents in the government.

The episode where Sir Chief appeared had transmen as the guests, t-bird who cross dress as men, which is something different because the usual guests in this show are male homosexuals. One of the guests is Jesi Corcuera, a former Starstruck contestant who now looks so different as he has even grown a moustache and beard. He sang “Para Sa’Yo ang Laban Na’to” of Manny Pacquiao and he even imitated the accent of the Pambansang Kamao.

Before the actual show, Sir Chief first did a song number himself, “Tuloy Pa Rin Ako”, and hosts Paolo Ballesteros and Jose Manalo acted as his back up singers. Also hosting the segment were Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza. Vic Sotto asked him about his businesses and Sir Chief admitted thst his restaurants were badly affected by the lock down.

Of course, just like Pokwang, Sir Chief was quickly bashed

online by haters who say he has “no utang na loob to ABS-CBN” now that the station’s franchise has not been renewed. We learned that Sir Chief’s episode in “Bawal Judgmental” was taped a couple of days before congress rejected the renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise, and Sir Chief first asked the permission of Kapamilya executives because he consented to appear in “Eat Bulaga”.

But actually, he doesn’t even have to do this because he no longer has a contract with the network, so he is free to appear wherever he pleases. Richard hit it big as Sir Chief in “Be Careful with My Heart” and he has since done other shows. He was last seen doing a role in “Kadenang Ginto.”  He’s now perfectly free to do shows with GMA but as of now, there is still no offer.

There are now speculations that this or that Kapamilya star would soon move to GMA-7 but so far, all these are mere conjecture. GMA already got so many stars from ABS-CBN like Jon Lucas, Kiray Celis, Anjo Damiles, Devon Seron and Jose Sarasola but they’re now “nganga” or idle.

The only ones who became a Kapuso and were given good assignments are Rayver Cruz and Jason Abalos.  And as it is, there are so many Kapuso contract artists who are now also idle, so we don’t think it would be wise for GMA to get more stars from ABS-CBN dahil matetengga rin lang sa kanila.
