MORE AND MORE stars are generously helping out our health workers and kababayans whose lives are badly affected by the corona lockdown.

Raymond “RS” Francisco, best actor winner for “Bhoy Intsik” and owner of Frontrow that sells beauty and health products online, launched his own Kontra Gutom feeding program distributing food packs in depressed areas

The beneficiaries include Bagong Barrio Caloocan, Dagat-Dagatan Navotas, Bistekville Visayas Ave., Senate Road Pasay, Tonsuya Malabon, Sampaloc Manila, Anonas Road QC, Barangay Pasong Tamo and various homeless people in QC.

“I want to thank our restaurant partner, Buffalo Wings n Things, for their fresh and warm meals,” he says.

RS has also distributed P45 million worth of contributions to 50 hospitals and military personnel nationwide.

Meantime, actress Glenda Garcia (she’s in the cast of GMA-7’s new show, “First Yaya”, with Marian de la Riva) has also distributed packed meals to health workers and frontliners in various hospitals that she herself cooked in her own kitchen.

The recipients include Philippine Lung Center, Philippine Gen. Hospital, UP Health Care Systems, Amang Rodriguez Medical Center, East Ave. Medical Center, Rizal Medical Center, Philippine Children’s Medical Center and Skyline Hospital in San Jose Del Monte.

She also gave away packed lunch boxes to the garbage collectors, security guards and maintenance workers in their village. She cooks various dishes like adobo, binagoongan and pasta.

Cupcakes for dessert are provided by Maya’s Baked Pasta. She wants to thank all her friends who help her in this project, including Isabel Rivas, Alma Concepcion, Emz Gojit, Cherrie Siy, Dr. Nora Lee and Wendy’s.

To RS and Glenda, thanks for helping our affected kababayans and may your tribe increase!
