LORNA TOLENTINO RENEWS CONTRACT AS BEAUTEDERM BRAND AMBASSADOR, TALKS ABOUT HER ROLE AS THE HATE LILY IN 'PROBINSYANO'

LORNA TOLENTINO WITH BEAUTEDERM PRES. & CEO REI ANICOCHE TAN

LORNA TOLENTINO just renewed her contract as one of the top endorsers of Beautederm whose Pres. & CEO Rhea Ramos Anicoche Tan says LT is one ideal ambassador as she’s always checking on how their various products are selling.

“Nakakatuwa as you can really feel her care and concern for Beautederm products,” says Ms. Rei. “Bago ko pa siya kinuhang endorser, idol ko na talaga si Ate LT. I love her movies, lalo yung ‘Narito ang Puso Ko’ na namatay ang anak niya at naka-grand slam siya as best actress.

"It’s really an honor for her to be our brand ambassador as she’s an icon when it comes to ageless beauty and excellent acting. And when I got to know her, I found out she’s really a beautiful person, not only outside but even more so inside.

"Her kindness and sincere heart inspire us to all be beautiful versions of ourselves. Ever since she endorsed our Cristaux Gold Elixir Serum for anti-aging, the sales really more than doubled.”

“I’m truly happy to be part of the Beautederm family,” says LT. “It started my beautiful friendship with Rei, her family, her entire staff and my fellow brand ambassadors. I’m now so thankful that she renewed my contract with them kasi ginagamit ko talaga ang Beautederm products for both face and body na very effective and yet reasonably priced.”

LT remains visible on screen and she’s now the most hated woman on local TV in her role as the scheming Lily Cortez in “Probinsyano” where she is slowly poisoning her husband Rowell Santiago, the president.

“Originally, 6 days lang ako dapat sa show,” she says. “Binago ko yung look ko, naglagay ako ng bangs. Who would have thought na yung maikli kong role, nanganak nang nanganak hanggang pinapirma na nila ako ng contract na dapat, hanggang noong September lang.

"Kaso na-extend pa nang na-extend nung makita nilang may chemistry raw kami ni Rowell. May mga fans na nga kami calling as Lorwell. Next month, bale one year na ako sa show.

"Ang nakakatuwa, kahit galit sa’kin ang viewers, when they see me in public, they tell me, Ms. Lily, puede po bang magpa-picture sa inyo. Hindi na ko si LT, si Lily na ako.”

Will Lily eventually soften up and have some redeeming value? “Naku, hindi raw. Black daw talaga si Lily all throughout. I’ve played a villain role before in ‘Asintado’ as Miranda, at nanalo pa ako ng best supporting actress award doon.

"Pero mas masama si Lily sa kanya. It's hard to play a person na very dark. Nakaka-drain, emotionally and even physically.”

So she will now win as best actress as Lily, we tell her. She’s been a widow for 12 years now. Doesn’t she have any suitors?

“Wala na silang lahat. Na-realize na nilang hindi ko na talaga kailangan ng lovelife, e. Yung apo ko na lang talaga, si Tori, ang nagpapasaya sa akin nang husto.

"As of now, yung dati naming bahay sa White Plains, pinapa-demolish ko para patayuan ng three separate homes for me and my two sons, Ralph and Renz. I’m sure Rudy will like it kasi magkakasama pa rin kami ng mga anak namin.”
