RUFA MAE QUINTO is happy to be back doing a mainstream film in “And Ai Thank You”, her first since she got married and had a daughter. “I did an indie film sa Cinema One, ‘Bagyong Beverlynn’, a digital series sa iWant na ‘John en Martin’ where I played an alien na may apat na suso, pero ito, talagang full length film na at kasama ko pa si Ai Ai de las Alas kaya excited ako,” she says.

They’ve worked together before in “Booba” where she played the lead title role and Ai Ai was the contravida.

So she doesn’t mind playing a supporting role to Ai AI this time? “Not at all. 41 na ako noon last birthday ko in May.

She gets bored then when she has no new projects.

She thought her career was over when she got married and had a child. Okay lang sa’king sumikat silang lahat and I’m happy for them.”

She’s thankful to her husband Trevor Magallanes for allowing her to resume her showbiz career here in Manila while he is still based in the U.S. “I tried naman to live there, but hinahanap ko talaga ang umarte and I’m glad he understands na kailangan ko rin to work on my own. Ang importante, nakakagawa pa rin ako ng projects na makapagpapasaya sa mga tao, like ito ngang ‘And Ai Thank You’ na opening na this Wednesday sa mga sinehan. And always, just try to do your best sa kahit anong project mo, para hindi ka malimutan ng tao at tuluyang mawala sa industriyang ito.”
