JUANCHO TRIVINO is happy to be part of the acting workshop conducted for Kapuso stars by New York acting coach Anthony Bova who’s currently in town. “It’s a big help for me,” says Juancho. “Kasi the workshop not only helps you improve your acting but your totality as a person, pati yung attitude mo sa buhay. Very helpful ito for me lalo ngayong GMA has given a break in my first lead role in a soap.”

Juancho has started taping for “Madrasta” where he is paired with Arra San Agustin and Thea Tolentino, directed by Monti Parungao. “This is my most mature role to date kasi may asawa ako’t mga anak dito, e hindi pa naman ako nagiging ama sa totoong buhay,” he adds. “Also, I play a cosmetic surgeon here and I really had to prepare for my role.”

Juancho is also in the cast of a new movie, “Children of the River”, an entry in the Cinemalaya Filmfest about the war in Marawi. They will have their gala night at the CCP on August 5. He co-stars with Jay Manalo, Rich Asuncion and several child stars led by Noel Comia Jr. and Junyka Santarin, directed by Maricel Cariaga.

Acting coach Anthony Bova says he admires the Kapuso stars who are now taking his intensive workshop. "They are very talented, they’re hungry to learn and they're very committed. This new batch of actors, they're exciting.

"We teach them not just about acting but also how to stay grounded. This is important for the humanity of the actor, the maturity of the actor, because regardless of technique, if the actor is not grounded in strong values, it's going to be a problem. So we also teach them ethics and professionalism.”

Actress Ana Feleo facilitates the workshop is happy that the Mr. Bova’s technique and program get very good feedback from current and past workshoppers. “The only problem is their schedule because most of them are busy doing current shows. So we’re coordinating with their producers and handlers so they can join us.”

The other Kapuso stars in the workshop who are present in the presscon for Mr. Bova are Jak Roberto, Klea Pineda, Jeric Gonzales, Thea Tolentino, Vaness del Moral, and Manolo Pedroza.
