The Latest About Popular Mayward Love Team, They Surprise Their Fans As PLDT Customer Care Agents On Twitter

Maymay and Edward
MAYMAY ENTRATA was at the presscon of ABS-CBN’s Indigital Productions for their new shows seen via live streaming on iWant and we tell: “Model na model na ang dating mo.” This after her successful stint as the first Filipina model to join the Arab Fashion Week in Dubai. “Naku, hindi po,” she tells us with a shake of her head.

Maymay stars with Kisses Delavin in the “Nura at Velma” episode of “Alamat ng Ano”, an anthology of comedy stories. Maymay represents Nora Aunor, complete with a mole on the left side of her face like Ate Guy, while Kisses stands for Vilma Santos. There are scenes where they confront and fight each other and Maymay says it was fun shooting those scenes.

“Nakakatuwa, masaya kaming nag-aaway ni Kisses,” says Maymay. “Talakan kami at patutsadahan sa harap ng kamera, then tawanan kami nang tawanan pagkatapos ng shoot. Actually, nakakapagod kasi we have the finish shooting all our scenes in just one day.”

Maymay is also a singer and recording artist. She has released her single with Star Pop music label, “Kakayanin Kaya”, a love song about a girl who’s afraid the guy she likes is in love with someone else. Its music video will be released next weekend.

Maymay and her ka-love team, Edward Barber, also recently served as special PLDT customer care agents to help customers with their inquiries on PLDT Home Prepaid Wifi. The overwhelming customer response had #MayWardAtYourService trending on Twitter during the takeover.

MayWard took to Twitter to reach out to their fans and personally answered customer queries on the convenience of purchasing the device, ease of use and reloading it. Learning that PLDT Prepaid Home Wifi is available at the stores and retailers near them, customers found it helpful to know more about the device including how easy it is to load online through their Home Wifi dashboard, sari-sari store or any authorized PLDT or Smart retailer, and Pasaload using Smart or TNT mobile number.

Perfect for the family’s use at home, customers can also enjoy up to 1GB of data per day for as low as Php15. Needless to say, the duo said they enjoyed the entire experience and that they find it fulfilling to be able to answer these questions and receive thank-you’s from customers.

“Sobrang nag-enjoy ako sa ginawa namin,” says Maymay. “Namiss ko yung time na nag-on-the-job training ako, kung saan para din akong nag-customer service. Hindi madali ang trabaho ng customer care representative. (I really enjoyed it. It made me miss the time when I was doing on-the-job training, where some kind of customer service was involved. The job of a customer care representative is not easy).”

For his part, Edward says: “It’s the first time I was able to do something like this and I have a newfound respect for everyone who does this type of job, because it’s really challenging. For one, it’s hard to communicate when you are not face to face with the other person to ask more details about his or her concern. You also have to be careful about using unnecessary words.”
Maymay and Edward find the Internet most useful in their work as they turn to social media to constantly update their fans about their activities.

“Malaking tulong po ang Internet sa trabaho namin lalo na’t lagi po kaming nag-uupdate sa fans kung ano na nangyayari sa buhay namin. Yun po ang nagiging paraan namin para mapasaya sila. (Internet is very helpful in our work. especially that we always update our fans about what’s happening in our lives. It’s been our way to make them happy),” Maymay adds.
Both Maymay and Edward say they are happy that the Internet has become more accessible for households because of the PLDT HOME Prepaid WiFi.

“Ibinahagi din namin sa customers na madali lang magkaron at napaka-affordable ng PLDT Home Prepaid Wifi para sa pamilya. Accessible sya kasi mabibili mo lang yung device sa malapit na tindahan. Mae-enjoy mo pa ang mabilis at abot-kayang Internet connection para sa buong pamilya. Madali lang din magload at pwede mo ma-control ang ang data usage mo ayon sa iyong budget kasi maglu-load up ka lang pag kailangan. (We shared with the customers how affordable and easy it is to buy PLDT Home Prepaid Wifi.

All you need to do is buy the device at the nearest retail store and you can already have fast and affordable Internet connection for your family at home. It’s also convenient to load and you can control your data usage according to your budget because you will just load as needed),” said Maymay.

“It’s very accessible. Imagine, you can load for as low as only P15 for one Gigabyte (1GB) of data. It’s also easy to use. You just have to plug it. It’s probably the simplest WiFi that I’ve ever encountered,” Edward adds.
