Richard Gomez Thankful That Star Cinema Agreed To Shoot 'Three Words To Forever' On Location In Ormoc City Where He's The Current Mayor

RICHARD GOMEZ admits he’s the reason why “Three Words to Forever” had to be shot on location in Ormoc City where he’s the mayor. “Being a mayor is a 24-7 job and I just couldn’t leave Ormoc. I told them if the shooting is here, then I can shoot only on weekends. And I’m glad they offered to shoot the movie in Ormoc so I want to thank all my co-stars for agreeing to shoot our movie on location in Ormoc. Naging maganda ang bonding naming lahat. We have a great cast. It’s nice to work with Sharon again after the five movies we did before. Maganda ang naging friendship namin through the years kahit may kanya-kanya na kaming buhay. And with Kathryn, this is our second movie after we did ‘She’s Dating the Gangster’. She’s so focused on her craft at ang galing niya talaga umarte.”

Sharon Cuneta says she enjoyed her almost three week stay in Ormoc. “He has really done so many improvements in the city in the three short years that he’s mayor,” she adds. “Ormoc is so beautiful, clean, drug-free, very progressive. Where we shot the film, ang lamig, ang linis ng hangin. It’s a testament to his kind of leadership and I’m so proud of him.”

Richard says he prioritized peace and order for the city to attract more investors. “Nakita nilang maayos ang lahat so pumasok na ang malls like Robinsons and SM.”

What are the beautiful sights of Ormoc shown in the movie? “There’s Lake Danao, a premiere tourist spot in the city. The beautiful Kalanggaman Island, our pineapple plantations and Tongonan geothermal plant. Lahat yan, makikita nila sa aming pelikula which people can relate with kasi it’s about three couples representing three generations going through problems that other married couples go through in real life, as directed by Cathy Garcia Molina.”
