Sofia Andres Proud Of Her Film With Sylvia Sanchez, 'Mama's Girl', Talks About Diego Loyzaga's Nude Photo

SOFIA ANDRES is so happy to play the title role of “Mama’s Girl” in Regal’s first salvo for 2018 that opens in theaters on January 17. She plays Sylvia Sanchez’ daughter in the story, Abby Potpot, who wants to assert her independence from her doting mom. How is it working with Sylvia?

“Noong una, intimidated po ako,” she says. “But sobrang bait niya kaya naging comfortable agad ako sa kanya. Para siya talagang nanay sa set na very caring sa akin at sa iba pang co-stars namin. Naging very close kami at isinama pa niya ako when she and her family went on a trip to Singapore. We’re both excited to share this wonderful heartwarming film about the relationship between a mother and a daughter. If you feel that everything is falling apart and when everyone else leaves, it will show that our mother remains to support us always.”

Sofia is paired with ka-love team Diego Loyzaga who, recently, posted a new nude photo of him on social media. Did she see it and how did she feel about it? “Actually, hindi ko po alam yun. Nalaman ko lang nang tanungin ako dito sa presscon ng ‘Mama’s Girl’. I can never ask him about it unless siya mismo ang magkukuwento sa’kin. I think it’s very awkward for any girl na magtanong ng tungkol sa ganoon. And I guess it’s all up to him dahil he’s big enough to make decisions for himself.”

So what’s the real status between her and Diego now? “We’re good friends pa rin po. Tanong nga ng tanong yung ibang writers kung kailan kami aamin, e wala naman kaming aaminin.”

Someone observes, though, that they must have called it quits. Although they seem sweet to each other, it could be only for the promo of their movie “Mama’s Girl”. “They no longer posts their pictures so social media accounts nila,” says one writer. “Dumaan nga ang Pasko’t Bagong Taon, ni hindi nila binati ang isa’t isa. Pero dito sa presscon, sweet sweetan sila.”
