Migo Adecer, Starstruck Male Winner, Gets Bigger Exposure As Rhian Ramos' Brother In 'The One That Got Away' That Starts Airing Monday, January 15

MIGO ADECER feels lucky that right after “My Love from the Star” where he played the younger brother of Jennylyn Mercado, he’s now in a new primetime show, “The One that Got Away”, where he plays the brother of Rhian Ramos. “I’m thankful to GMA for trusting me with a bigger role in TOTGA,” he says. “I have more scenes, more exposure here. Siguro dahil, mas marunong na ako magsalita ng Tagalog.”

Migo was born in Bacolod. When he was two months old, his family moved to Sydney, Australia. When he was 15, he returned to Manila and joined Starstruck, emerging as the male big winner. He was just 5’10” tall when he got here. Now, he’s 6 feet tall, which is an asset for any actor.

“I’m the youngest of three kids,” he says. “So when I decided to pursue a showbiz career here, my parents accompanied me for two years. But now that I’m 18, they’ve gone back to Australia and I’m on my own. I do have an older half-brother here, the son of my mom from her first marriage. He’s 29 years old and married, but we’re quite close so I can go to him and ask his help if I need something here.”

How come he’s not paired with Klea Pineda, the Starstruck female winner in their batch, as a love team? “I don’t know. Maybe GMA has other plans for us. We were together in ‘Encantadia’ but we have separate shows now. I’m here in TOTGA and she’s in ‘Sirkus’. But I love working with her as we’re very comfortable with each other. Hopefully, in the future, we might work together again.”

He wants to thank Rhian Ramos for being so nice to him on the set of TOTGA, which starts airing tonight after “Kambal, Karibal”. “Ang bait niya, so I’m so comfortable doing scenes with her. Later on, bibigyan daw ako ng sarili kong love interest sa show. I don’t know yet kung sino.”

Has he acted in a scene with Dennis Trillo? “None yet. But I’m looking forward to it. It will be such an honor as he’s such a good actor. I know I will learn a lot from acting with him.”
