KAPUSO YOUNG stars Mikee Quintos and Mikoy Morales get the biggest breaks in their careers in “Sirkus”, the new GMA-7 Sunday night telefantasya where they play fantastic circus performers. This is directed by indie director Zig Dulay based on a concept by GMA News and Public Affairs’ Program Manager Angeli Atienza. Zig directed acclaimed films like “Bambanti”, “M: My Mother’s Maiden Name” and “Paglipay” that has won awards here and in international film festivals.
“Sirkus” will start airing on January 21 at 6:10 PM, replacing “Roadtrip”. Zig describes it as a magical show, “tunggalian ng salamangka” or competition in magic. Mikee and Mikoy will play twins named Miko and Mia working for the circus troup called Sirkus Salamanca. They have a special power and Cherie Gil as the villainous La Ora schemes to snatch it away from them.
