How about his love life? “Wala na rin. Hindi ko naman hinahanap. Pati yung lumabas-labas. Mas gusto ko pang nasa bahay kapag walang trabaho. Nakahiga lang. Nanonood ng youtube. Mas marami pa akong natututuhan.”
Even if he’s doing gay roles, he still has plenty of female admirers. What can he say to them? “Wala! Gulong-gulo yata sila sa’kin. Lahat, nagkagulo na. Ako nga mismo, naguguluhan na rin,” he laughs.
We know a lot of folks admire him for his make up transformations, but he also has a lot of bashers. “Ay, oo. Siempre, di mo naman mapi-please lahat. Sinasabing hindi ko naman daw kamukha yung mga ginagaya ko. Okay lang. Di sila na ang gumawa! Ang gagaling nila, eh.”
In “Barbi, D’Wonder Beki”, Director Tony Reyes says he himself did his own stunts in the fight scenes when he became a superhero who fights terrorists. Why didn’t he use a stunt double? “E, kaya ko naman. Ayokong dayain ang viewers. So lahat ng action sequences na mapapanood nyo rito, ako mismo gumawa noon. Di lang ako sa pagme-make up at comedy magaling, pati sa action din.”
Just like Vice Ganda in his own movies. Would he be amenable to doing a movie with Vice? “Malayong mangyari yan kasi nasa ‘Eat Bulaga’ ako at nasa ‘Showtime’ siya. Siguro, kung mawawala na siya sa ‘Showtime’, puede, kasi ako, hindi talaga ko magre-resign sa ‘Eat Bulaga’.”
