Marian Rivera Will Be Happy To Show Her New Show, 'Super Ma'am' To Her Baby Daughter Zia As She's Really A Super Nanay In Real Life

MARIAN RIVERA is back on primetime in “Super Ma’am”, a show that pays tribute to teachers but also tells a highly entertaining story about a teacher who has super powers that she uses to fight a group of evildoers called Tamawo.

“Dream ko talaga noon na maging teacher kaya super excited ako sa project na ito dahil natupad din ang pangarap kahit dito sa show lang,” she says. “In the story, I play Minerva Henerala at love and passion ko talaga ang maging teacher. At kahit na maraming struggles akong mararanasan along the way, I will never give up ang pagiging high school teacher ko. Pinagtatawanan ako rito ng mga tao dahil naniniwala ako sa existence ng mythical creatures called Tamawo. Until something happens na magbibigay sa akin ng super powers para mas makatulong pa ako sa aking kapwa. Dedicated ito sa lahat ng teachers at sa lahat ng fans kong noon pa nagre-request na magka-show uli ako sa primetime at maging superhero uli ang role ko. I really trained hard for this role dahil marami akong fight scenes at ayokong magpa-double. And I’m really proud of this dahil puede kong ipapanood sa baby naming si Zia as it teaches good moral values at super nanay naman niya talaga ako in real life.”

Also in the cast of “Super Ma’am” are Carmina Villaroel as Marian’s mentor in how to fight evil, Dina Bonnevie as her mom, Kim Domingo as her sister who she thought died but grew up with the Tamawo, Meg Imperial as the contravida assistant principal who makes life hell for her, Al Tantay as her dad, Jackielou Blanco as the main villain and leader of the Tamawo, Jerald Napoles as the janitor best friend of Marian, Joyce Ching as a creature imprisoned in a jar called Dalikmata, Kristoffer Martin as a secret tamawo who’s the cousin of Jerald, Kevin Santos as a reporter who wants to know more about tamawos, Shyr Valdez as the principal in Marian’s school, Ashley Ortega as an arrogant student of Marian, Jillian Ward as the geeky student often bullied by her classmates, Enrico Cuenca as a nerdy math teacher, Isabelle de Leon as a sexy and beautiful Tamawo, Julius Miguel

Erasga as the youngest brother of Marian, Andrew Gan as an evil tamawo, introducing Matthias Rhoads as foreign archeologist Trevor Jones, with the grand comeback of Ms. Helen Gamboa as the grandma of Marian. Also appearing in a very special role as a bad Tamawo is Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai de las Alas with whom Marian has a fight scene on top of a train, directed by LA Madridejos, who helmed the hit “Meant to Be”.

Marian’s new action-fantasy series will be shown starting Monday, September 18, in time for Happy Teacher’s Month. It will be aired right after “24 Oras” to be pitted against “Probinsyano” and her husband’s hard hitting action-drama, “Alyas Robin Hood”, will be shown right after it. This makes their husband and wife team dominate GMA-7’s Telebabad, making them their real Primetime King and Queen.
