Alden Richards And Maine Mendoza Get Praised By Their Director, Irene Villamor, For Their Laudable Performance As Leads In 'Destined To Be Yours'

ALDEN RICHARDS and Maine Mendoza are very thankful to all the viewers of their hit primetime show, "Destined to Be Yours", who have been praising their performances as the lead characters, Benjie and Sinag. Their director herself, Irene Villamor, says she is so thankful and she cannot complain when it comes to the kind of acting that her stars deliver in the show's every episode.

"Wala akong maipipintas sa husay nila kahit sa mabibigat na eksena," she says. "Alam nila kung paano bubuuin ang characters nila as Benjie and Sinag. At hindi sila basta bumibitaw sa characters nila kahit tapos na ang eksena nila. Even sa scenes involving a lot of crying, natural lang ang emosyong lumalabas sa kanila at hindi pilit."

In her Instagram account, Direk Irene even posted: “Just finished a scene with these two… @aldenrichards02 @mainedcm. Sobrang sarap pala bilang direktor when you are discovering things about your actors, when you push them so hard and they let you… when they trust you with their hearts. It is my ultimate reward. Thank you for today. Nood po kayo gabi-gabi! #destinedtobeyours.”

What Direk Irene doesn't know is that the whole production team and cast also take their hat off to her. She might be a newbie director with just one hit movie to her credit, "Camp Sawi", but she certainly knows what she is doing. "Pasensiyosa siya at talagang matiyaga kaming gina-guide sa bawat eksena," says Alden. "Organisado rin siya sa set kaya mabilis ang trabaho."

"Ang maganda pa, lagi siyang nakangiti sa mga katrabaho niya kaya magaan ang atmosphere namin sa set," adds Maine.

In the story, two years have quickly passed and many changes have occurred in the lives of Benjie and Sinag. Alden as Benjie is promoted to a higher position in the company of his Lolo (Tommy Abuel) and he realizes and accepts that he's not really meant for Maine as Sinag. His first girlfriend, Thea Tolentino as Trish, returns to his life and they get reconciled with each other. Meanwhile, Maine's family has left their hometown, Pelangi, and moves to Manila. She is noticed by a top radio station and she gains popularity as DJ Sunshine. She's also about to publish her own book. Will she and Alden cross paths again?
