Was she able to relate well with her role? “Oo naman, kahit never ko pa naranasang mag-try ng drugs. Kasi hot na hot ngayong pinag-uusapan ang tungkol sa campaign against drugs, di ba? Kaya dapat talagang iwasan ito.”
How does it feel to do a love scene with Enchong? “Wala namang problema kasi ilang beses na kaming nagkasama. Magkapareha kami sa ‘ASAP Dance Squad’, then sa movies, we were together in ‘The Reunion’ and ‘Call Center Girl’, so kilala na namin ang isa’t isa. Palagay na ang loob ko sa kanya.”
At the movie’s presscon, Enchong was very candid in admitting that he finds their kissing scene “masarap”. Because of this, it was reported that her BF Luis Manzano got jealous. “Walang ganun. Kinuwento ko yun sa kanya before it was shot and he doesn’t have any negative reaction kasi he knows part yun ng work ko. Alam din naman niyang best of friends kami ni Enchong kaya sanay na kami sa isa’t isa.”
Has she met her prospective mother in law, Rep. Vilma Santos? “Yes, nag-meet na kami. Pinakilala na ako ni Luis sa kanya.”
Did she make “mano po” to Ate Vi? “Ay, hindi po. Hindi ako nagmano kundi nagbeso. Ang bait niya.”
It’s obvious from their postings of their photos together on their respective social media accounts that they are no longer hiding their relationship. “Obvious naman, di ba? Halata na sa pictures. Ha ha ha!”
So will she spend the coming Christmas season with Luis and his family? “Hopefully, kapag inimbita po nila ako, but I know para sa family lang muna nila ang Christmas.”
So after the aborted love affair with JM de Guzman, is she happy now? “Happy namin ako lagi, e. Pero kung dati, happy lang. Ngayon, mas happing-happy na ako. Si Luis, very supportive siya. Papanoorin daw niya ang ‘Mano Po 7: Chinoy’ kapag ipinalabas na ito sa December 14.”
What else does she appreciate in Luis? “His sense of humor. Lagi niya akong pinapatawa kasi natural comedian siya. He also inspires me to go on kapag nai-stress ako sa pressure at dami ng work. He reminds me to always be thankful sa maraming blessings na dumarating sa buhay ko.”
What can she say about a recent video of JM looking okay now and back to normal? “I haven’t seen it. May nagsabi lang po sa’kin, but hindi ko alam, wala akong direktang balita sa kanya. Kung totoong okay na siya, I’m happy for him. Yun naman ang laging wish ko para sa kanya.”
