In her speech, Mother Lily said she dedicates her party to the entertainment press: “It’s as much in honor of the press as it is for me and my family. My love affair with the showbiz press will make an interesting material for a movie. Sometimes, we’re like Romeo & Juliet. Other times naman, parang Mission impossible kasi hindi laging smooth ang pinagdaraanan ni Mother Lily as a producer to keep up with the times. But my friends from the press always stand by me and Regal through thick and thin, come hell or high water. Mother Lily will never forget all the help you have given me and Regal. Kung wala kayo, wala rin si Mother Lily at ang Regal. That’s why I dedicate the party to you. It’s about time you’re given due credit for your important role in the industry kaya Mabuhay kayo, ang Regal at si Mother Lily!”
No wonder the press really loves Mother Lily as she’s one producer who really gives important to us writers. She gave P100,000 each to SPEED (association of editors), ENPRESS (Entertainment Press group that gives out the Golden Screen Awards) and PMPC (group that gives Star Awards.) May you have many more birthdays to come, Mother Lily, and may your coming movie projects all be a big success at the box office. Regal’s next release is “My Rebound Girl” with Alex Gonzaga and Joseph Marco, followed by “The Escort” with Lovi Poe, Derek Ramsay and Christopher de Leon, “Never Been Kissed, Never Been Touched” with Angeline Quinto and Jake Cuenca. Currently filming in New Zealand is “Once in a Lifetime” with Piolo Pascual and Yen Santos.
