MEET THE TWO new male Regal Babies: Jerico Ejercito and David Licauco. Jerico is the eldest son of ex-Laguna Gov. ER Ejercito. He has appeared in some of the films of his dad. “I was in ‘Asiong Salonga’, ‘El Presidente’ but the one I enjoyed the most was ‘Muslim Magnum 357’ kasi nag-action ako roon,” he says.
His dad produce a movie for him, ‘Ben Tumbling’, but they’re not satisfied with the results so there will be a reshoot. “Siempre, first solo movie ko, dapat maging maganda talaga so we want to improve on it,” he says.
He majored in political science at La Salle. Does he see himself following in his dad’s footsteps as a politician? “No, honestly, I prefer showbiz or maybe put up my own business rather than run for public office.”
His dad came with him to his contract signing with Regal. Is Gov. ER a stage dad? “No, sinamahan lang niya ako rito but he can never be a stage dad kasi he’s always very busy.”
DAVID LICAUCO is the 2014 Mr. Chinatown first runner up. His middle name is Sy and his mom hails from Tabaco, Albay where he studied briefly at Tabaco Pei Ching Chinese School, the best Chinese school in Bicol. His mom and writer-TV host Ricky Lo were former classmates in that school.
He majored in information systems at La Salle and did some modeling on the side as he stands 6’1”. After Mr. Chinatown, he signed up with Star Magic and did some shows at ABS-CBN and also the movie “Praybeyt Benjamin”. “But what I really want to do then is play basketball and I became a member of the La Salle varsity team. Dun ako nag-focus kaya lang I injured my shoulder so hindi na ako puedeng maglaro kaya back to acting ako. I want to be recognized now as a serious actor.”
