Rights To GMA Network's Hit Soap, 'Munting Heredera', Sold To A Mexican Company Who'll Make Their Own Version For Latin America

CONGRATULATIONS to Director Maryo de los Reyes. The rights to his hit primetime soap he directed on GMA-7 three years ago, “Munting Heredera”, has been bought by a Mexican company and they will do their own version in Spanish for airing in Latin American countries.


The soap then starred Gloria Romero, Camille Prats, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Katrina Halili and introduced child star Mona Louise Rey in the title role. This is quite an accomplishment for GMA Worldwide as this is the first local scripted drama to be produced in Mexico for Latin America. Before it’s our TV networks who keep on buying the rights to Hispanic and Korean soaps to remake them and have our own localized versions.
