Patricia Javier's Chiropractor Husband Turns Into An Actor And Joins Cast Of 'That's My Amboy'

PLAYING THE the role of Andre’s American dad in “That’s My Amboy” is chiropractor Robert Walcher, the husband of Patricia Javier who now lives in Manila. In the story, he doesn’t play a doctor but a lawyer. His wife and Andre’s mom is Maritoni Fernandez, also a lawyer. Since he comes from a family of lawyers, Andre’s parents are both against his joining local showbiz and looks down on his being an “artista”.

Director Joyce Bernal says that Rob Walcher (which is how he wants to be called) is doing quite well for someone who’s not a professional actor. As one writer puts it: “May kalaban na si Lee O’Brien, ang jowa ni Pokwang na nag-aartista rin dito sa Pinas and had his own TV show, ‘Kano Luvs Pinay’ in TV5 before with Tuesday Vargas.”
