LOOKS LIKE TV5 and Viva Entertainment really believe that Mark Neumann, a second runner up in Artista Academy, has more potential to hit it big than winner Vin Abrenica. Mark is the one chosen to be the leading man of Viva’s build up star, Shy Carlos, in the latest remake of “Tasya Fantasya”. It looks like his previous team up with fellow Artista Academy discovery Shaira Mae is now a thing of the past. This is Mark’s next big project after he played the title role in “Baker King”, where Shaira was still his leading lady. So he’s now paired from Shaira to Shy.
Ricky Rivero, who directs “Tasya Fantasya”, says they chose mark “kasi hindi lang siya guwapo kundi magaling ding umarte. Actually, I was surprised nang nagte-taping na kami kasi ganun na pala siya kagaling ngayon. And he’s very professional. Alam mong seryoso siya sa work niya at may gusto siyang marating.”
Mark is truly happy that he came home to Manila after spending time in England and Germany as a teenager. “Bata pa ako, nagtatrabaho na ako as a factory worker and I deliver newspapers sa mga bahay-bahay kahit sobrang lamig,” he says. “Mas gusto ko ang buhay ko rito sa Manila kasi mas mura pati ang mga bilihin. Kaya yung pagiging pagod at puyat ko sa taping, bale wala ito kumpara sa mga pinagdaanan kong hirap noong sa ibang bansa pa ako nakatira.”
And how is it working with Shy Carlos? “Masaya. Nagkasundo kami agad. I enjoy working with her and the rest of the cast, including Ms. Ara Mina who plays my mom na aapi-apihin si Shy. Abangan nyo ang ‘Tasya Fantasya’ when it starts airing on TV5 every Saturday starting February 6 kasi you’ll really find it very entertaining.”
